Yifuda and the Giant City Spirit stood atop the palace platform. From afar, they looked like two statues of graceful ladies.
But up close, one would see that one was a crystal being radiating ladylike elegance from the inside out, while the other was an otherworldly spirit with a resplendent Crystal Palace for a head.
Although it was not Angel's first time seeing the Giant City Spirit, every time he saw her appearance, he could not help marveling inwardly at the wonder of creation.
If the Giant City Spirit had been humanoid, or purely architectural in form, he would not have been so struck. Yet she was a fusion of the two: the shapely body of a human woman paired with a dazzlingly magnificent Crystal Palace head, as though time and space had slipped out of place upon her.
"Mist Spirits, Gabriel, and... Angel." Yifuda's gaze swept across them in turn, her eyes filled with confusion.
The Mist Spirits had only left not long ago. Why had they returned already?
The Mist Spirits spread their hands and explained, "I didn't come to find you. I'm just showing someone the way. Angel has something he wants to discuss with you."
With that, the Mist Spirits stepped aside, revealing Angel behind them.
Angel raised his head and met Yifuda's gaze. He gave a slight nod, then turned his eyes to the Giant City Spirit and said seriously, "I came this time to discuss where the souls within the Sacred Corpse Crystals should be placed after entering the Dream Crystal Plain."
"Where to settle them?" The Giant City Spirit's voice came wrapped in howling wind. With every word she spoke, the doors of her Crystal Palace head opened and closed once. "Wouldn't it be enough to leave that to Yumoda? Why come looking
