Fortunately, aside from his eccentric self-introduction, Treta was perfectly normal. He only slipped into a sentimental tone now and then when he spoke.

That was hardly a problem.

Then, at a look from Yifuda, Treta began introducing the Echo Library—

"Sorry, this is my first time giving a report, and I didn't prepare anything... Let me think where to start..."

"I'll start with the Echo Library's objective."

"Unlike the other stages, the objective here isn't to hunt a monster. It's to seal away a strange being."

"But the Text Panel doesn't say who this 'strange being' is, and the Book Sprites avoid the subject. One of our squad's sculptors heard something interesting from a Book Demon after defeating it: the Book Demon used a very particular pronoun for that being."

"It called that being 'He'—with a capital H."

At that, Angel recalled the Text Panel's description of the Echo Library in the Sixfold Platter—

"Welcome to the Echo Library, one of the Sixfold Platter's stages."

"Stage description: This stage comes from ???. The Challenger team's objective is to successfully seal ■■■■."

Two parts of that description had been redacted.

The first, "???," meant that the Instance containing the Echo Library had not yet opened, so it could be ignored. The second, "■■■■," was more interesting.

The Text Panel rarely used blacked-out text.

When it did, it usually meant the information had been deliberately concealed because knowing it might carry unknown risks.

If merely learning a name posed a risk, the being behind it was clearly no ordinary existence.

Now Treta had said that a Book Demon in the library used "He" with a capital H. That seemed to imply the being they had to seal was no ordinary life-form, but a... god.

Only a god would be addressed that way!
