"Here?"
At Angel's direction, Nomephins used his authority to teleport them into the long, dim corridor.
A plain bluestone path ran through it, without even a proper floor.
Several torches lined the walls, their flames burning fiercely. They kept the corridor from going completely dark, but their light was nowhere near enough to illuminate it. The passage remained gloomy.
Nomephins looked both ways. Behind them was a dead end; ahead stood the Wall of Questions, carved with his relief.
There's no one here, either.
Wasn't the Decayer supposed to be here?
Puzzled, Nomephins could only look to Angel.
"This is the place," Angel said evenly. He followed the stone path to where the power of authority gathered most densely.
Nothing looked unusual from the outside, but the moment Angel reached it, he sensed the authorities of "Gatekeeper" and "Dream Gate" surging wildly.
