Angel's doubts only deepened.
Still, if she truly was a Gourmet Wizard, then her connection to the Flower Moon Fairies was all but certain.
As Angel turned the matter over in his mind, he entered the main cavern.
The first thing he saw was the enormous, flame-wreathed boiler. The girl was no longer sitting atop it, though. She stepped out from behind it instead.
"Welcome to my Sasha Tavern... cave edition. There's no wine yet, and no succubus servers, but at least I have a bowl of seasoning soup. Would my guest from afar care for a taste?" She winked at Angel and gestured to the boiler.
Angel had already worked out how to bring up Granny Tang without seeming too deliberate, then explain where he came from. But she seemed entirely unconcerned with his identity and simply invited him to try the soup.
After a moment's thought, Angel decided not to follow her lead. He kept to his own plan. "Actually, I—"
He had barely begun when the flames beneath the boiler suddenly leaped higher. A powerful, rich aroma burst from it, mingling with the hot steam and curling through the cavern like mist.
Angel was wary at first. A moment later, however, he realized the fragrant vapor had not
