Juanjuan accompanies Moon Lady and Mr. Sun to Night Mountain during their search for an anomaly commissioned by Lord Wanshui. Despite preferring sleep and avoiding effort, it guides the party with an exceptional sense of direction and displays knowledge of the Vortex and Heart-shaped Theater 3548.

Although commonly presented as the Sun and Moon Wizards' “daughter” or pet, Juanjuan is their friend or partner rather than their subordinate.
