Angel replied, "A model is constructed with mental power in order to guide magic power back
. Magic power is an unstable form of energy. Only by using the mental model within the body to link it can one stabilize the backlash of magic power on the human body, guide magic power into an internal cycle, and ultimately control it."
Sanders showed not the slightest expression at Angel's answer. Only after Angel had finished did Sanders slowly say, "That answer is very standard. You've worked hard these past few days. But whether that answer suits you... only heaven knows."
Sanders did not explain what he meant. Instead, he changed the subject. "In about ten days, we'll reach the Guman Kingdom. It lies on the western edge of the Prosperous Continent, and we'll disembark there."
"Before we disembark, I'll give you a choice. A choice concerning a Guidance Method." Sanders waved a hand. "Come to see me tomorrow night."

Several stacks of booklets lay before Sanders. One finger lightly tapped the table as he focused on reading the parchment scroll in his hand. Only when Angel reached him did he set the book aside and gesture for Angel to sit nearby.
"Yesterday, I said that today I would give you a choice—a choice that would determine your future path. Once you make that choice, changing it again will be very difficult. Therefore, you must think carefully about what kind of road your choice will pave for your future."
