Angel and Sanders investigated the Living Threads outbreak in Windmill Town and found that Nightmare Realm aura could interrupt the creatures’ control and restore some victims’ consciousness. Back at Savage Cave, Angel briefed Rhein on the Budding threat, discussed a consequential alchemical plan, and received new responsibilities and access as he prepared to return to Demon Illusion Island.

• Angel and Gloria reached Windmill Town, where Iva’s escape and a spreading madness led them to Puppet Hospital and the Tree Spirit.
• Rhein explained that Living Threads had emerged from Demonic Beasts from the Eternal Night Kingdom, and Sanders discovered that Nightmare Realm aura affected them.
• Sanders used Nightmare Realm aura to interrupt the Living Threads’ roles, helping Old Ham regain consciousness and allowing Angel to learn he could direct aura-saturated threads.
• Sanders and the others found that the Living Threads gave victims new roles and skills, while the dancer recovered with her original consciousness and retained those abilities.
• Angel declined a celebration and assured Windmill Town’s frightened residents that Iva’s escape had not brought the town down like Night Demon City.
• Rhein gave Angel an activator for the Garden of All Spirits, then learned about the Budding disaster and coordinated with Muse on how to contain the threat.
• Rhein promised to arrange a prophecy about whether the Budding intended Angel harm, advised him on his proposed alchemical creation, and granted him Level Two Cloud Library access.
• On the Vine Bus, the Tree Spirit agreed to keep outsiders from disturbing Angel, and Angel recalled Wallace’s request that he write a column in Mirror.

Angel investigated Dodolo’s prophecy, studied his Green Patterns, and prepared to hide from the Budding. He reached the sealed relic in the ruins and began exploring its looping corridors.

• Angel met Dodolo, who showed him a prophecy of cracked earth, withered life, a blood-red sky, and a gigantic eye, and Angel later recognized a red scarf in the vision as possibly belonging to Zorn inside the Reincarnation Box.
• Angel studied his Projected Bloodline and deciphered a Green Pattern that compressed Nightmare Realm aura, then discussed the pattern and his training with Sanders.
• Angel learned from Sanders that Rhein’s Garden of All Spirits activator let him choose when to open the Garden and who could enter, but he postponed deciding how to use it.
• Gloria and Lydia continued their dispute over Eyeless Man Houston, while Angel agreed to hide in a confidential abandoned laboratory because wizards were speculating about his whereabouts.
• Angel and Tree Spirit encountered refugees fleeing Living Threads infections, and Angel sent a frostbitten girl back with a dreamlike message for her people.
• Tree Spirit gave Angel Tizhalo's Experimental Record No. 117, which revealed the coordinates of a sealed relic, and Angel concealed its entrance after Tree Spirit left to meet Liana, Fire Charm, and Night Sylvie.
• Angel found that lit candleholders led him back to the ruin’s entrance, extinguished them, and continued through the dark corridor until he found a motionless suit of knight armor with a damaged alchemy magic pattern.

Angel searched Tizhalo’s ruins and found records about Experiment No. 117, then helped Sanders test an Authority for Frod. The attempt failed, but it awakened Tree Civilization and created the Dream Plant Fairies, leaving Firstheart City to prepare for their arrival while Angel continued studying his Green Patterns.

• Angel searched Tizhalo’s laboratory and recovered a notebook that revealed his experiments with parasitic mycelium, but found no clues to the hidden room.
• Angel learned from the Tree Spirit that Tizhalo and Dumartin had developed the Umbrella Fungus Worm bloodline together, then returned to studying Green Pattern.
• Sanders assessed Frod’s ability to bear a plant-related Authority, and Angel extracted one from the Nightmare Domain for him to try.
• Frod released the Authority when his body began to swell, but Angel’s examination awakened Tree Civilization and caused a colossal tree to erupt in the Dream Wilderness.
• The tree scattered seeds that became Dream Plant Fairies, and Sanders used Energy-Level Restriction to limit their growth before the Mother Tree entered dormancy and instructed them to seek balance.
• Angel and Sanders discussed the fairies’ potential impact on Firstheart City, while Frod returned to find earthquake damage and began planning warnings and stronger defenses.
• Angel found that Frod had too little affinity to inherit Tree Civilization, watched the fairies build near the Mother Tree and reach a lake near Firstheart City, and judged them no immediate threat.
• Angel concluded that Tree Civilization could mark the Dream Wilderness’s growth toward a complete world, then finished studying the Green Patterns on his forearm and turned to the uncertain patterns in his right eye.

Angel and his allies welcomed the Dream Plant Fairies to Firstheart City and began planning a Mother Tree Network, while Bobota’s death brought him into Dream Wilderness beyond the Demon God’s grasp. The Lord of Profundity investigated Bobota’s soul, but the Wizarding World’s World Will intervened as his corpse was taken for examination.

• Angel watched the Dream Plant Fairies arrive at Firstheart City, where one fairy attacked Knight Sabel before fleeing and another was moved by Frafiel’s performance of “Sea of Prayer.”
• The Dream Plant Fairies helped green Firstheart City, and Jon agreed to work with them as Angel introduced him to the Mother Tree Network and its limitations.
• Angel left the Dream Wilderness to find Sanders and protect them from the Demon God when Bobota died, and the two traveled through a Planar Corridor to Sin World.
• In a desert on Chimei Continent, Bobota accepted his approaching death, thanked Angel, and entrusted him with hopes for Huahua and Dodolo before the Demon God’s contract claimed his soul.
• Sanders froze Bobota’s body as Angel cast Entering Dreams, and Bobota escaped the Lord of Profundity’s domain through a light gate into the Dream Wilderness.
• Sunny brought Bobota to Jon, who explained that Angel had rescued him and tasked him with researching the Mother Tree Network.
• Angel and Sanders fled when the Demon God’s aura provoked Sin World, while a black-robed bishop sent Saladin to retrieve Bobota’s corpse for examination.
• The Lord of Profundity investigated Bobota’s blank soul, but the Wizarding World’s World Will suppressed its power as Bobota’s corpse moved toward a place where the World Will was stronger.
