Angel purified Shadow, recovered Toby, and gathered the Kula Kuka for a journey to the human world while Gloria confronted memories of the Nightmare Realm. After settling the Kula Kuka in his bracelet and bringing Dodolo along, Angel followed Shadow into Silent Hill.

• Yelena’s song activated the secret treasure, purifying much of Shadow’s soul and drawing a clump of Veins from Angel’s soul.
• Felicia probed Angel’s soul with butterflies and disturbed the stitched-face woman, but Isabella forced Angel’s soul back into his body and warned Felicia and Gloria not to interfere.
• Angel entered the Soul Domain, learned how to control his Gravity Veins, and received Toby from Gloria, who explained that he had to overcome the extreme emotions within his soul.
• Angel made a gondola and a feather earring with a touchable illusion of Toby, then left Black Castle with Toby and Gloria’s supplies.
• Angel agreed to take eighty-one Kula Kuka to a new home, gathered their possessions and livestock into a miniature building, and departed after the High Priest died.
• Angel also brought Babaya’s grandmother, and he and Shadow crossed the Dome before returning to the surface while Felicia and Gloria tested the earring’s illusion.
• Gloria recalled escaping the Nightmare Realm and resolved to return for her hidden body, believing she needed Sanders to guide her.
• Angel stored Dodolo and Babaya’s grandmother in his bracelet, entered the Middle World with Shadow, and gained Talos’s permission to enter Silent Hill.

Angel survived Isabella’s attack and reached Sky Mechanical City with Shadow and Bogula, where Midora protected him and Sanders finally reunited with him. Sanders learned about Angel’s journey through the Nightmare Realm, warned him to keep its secrets, and began discussing the Purification Garden before introducing him to Kant of Night.

• Isabella nearly killed Angel with her Blood Ritual, but Angel used an illusion of her mentor to make her stop and Shadow secured his release.
• Angel escaped Silent Hill and traveled to Sky Mechanical City with Shadow, Bogula, and the others, while Bogula continued trying to persuade him to become a magic puppet.
• Angel decided to remain in the city and met Midora, who examined his alchemy and invited him to the Potion Hut.
• Sanders arrived in Sky Mechanical City and attacked Bogula after reading that Angel had supposedly been turned into a puppet, but Sabo revealed Angel was safe with Midora.
• Midora discussed alchemy and mysterious objects with Angel at the Potion Hut until Sanders arrived and took Angel to his estate.
• Angel told Sanders about Isabella’s attack and his journey through the Planar Corridor, Underground Wasteland Village, and Watergrass, while concealing Dodolo’s origins.
• Sanders concluded that the passage to Desolate Village had accelerated Angel’s cultivation through its connection to the Nightmare Realm and ordered him to keep its location secret.
• Sanders warned Angel not to discuss the Nightmare Realm or Nightmare Domain outside Gravity Garden, then introduced him to Kant of Night.

Angel prepared for the Purification Garden while helping Nausicaa and learning that Dodolo might have seen a possible future involving Qili. The Garden opened amid a threatened blood sacrifice, and Angel entered alone, searching its dangerous terrain for a way out.

• Kant gave Angel Soft-State Worm eggs and a rare worm nest, while Qili arrived and agreed to cover Angel in the Purification Garden.
• Sanders trained Angel, showed him Rosen’s proposal to advance the Garden through a sacrifice of ninety percent of its apprentices, and negotiated for more places for large organizations.
• Angel warned Nausicaa about the Garden’s death toll, and she chose to enter so she could keep pace with him and protect those she cared about.
• Angel brought the Kula Kuka tribe to Sanders’ estate, tested Dodolo’s talent, and learned from his vision that he might be beneath the sea with Qili near a deep-sea pit.
• Angel built Nausicaa a mechanical arm, and she promised to return safely from the Garden before joining Shan and Xiliu on the journey there.
• At the Garden’s entrance, Qili confronted Jiebo, Rosen opened the gate, and the apprentices entered as Qili promised Angel she would protect him.
• Angel used illusions to survive attacks from flying fish, crossed a wasteland, and found a volcanic region where apprentices fought over a rumored Ink-Tentacle King.
• Angel followed Dan Yeluo toward the lava region, while Yixiu detected human pheromones near his group with a Scent-Eating Ant.

Angel escaped the collapsing Flying Fish World and entered the Sea of Purification, where he and Qili uncovered the Ruge Tribe’s connection to Merui’s Sword and the Apocalypse Altar. After rescuing Frod’s soul and killing Yixiu, Angel left the watchtower with a sword pointing southeast and the search for the altar still ahead.

• Angel used a mist illusion to reach the sky membrane as the hourglass ran out, passed through it, and entered a vast sea beneath a starry sky.
• Angel explored an underwater fortress and a ruined Frogskin Monster settlement, where Qili joined him and they were attacked by a giant octopus.
• Angel and Qili learned that Merui’s Sword was the chest scale of the Ru Clan’s ancestor, then returned to the trench to search for one.
• Qili drew the octopus into a soul challenge while Angel rescued the merfolk trapped in a bubble, but the creature evolved into an Ink-Tentacle King.
• Angel and Qili recovered Merui’s Swords from the dead Ruge Kaguangbudan, then confronted Yixiu after Frod’s soul accused him of murder.
• Angel killed Yixiu, and Qili burned his soul, while Angel used the Soul-Nurturing Flower and Soul-Severing Murmur to save Frod from the guiding light.
• Frod promised to lead Angel to the Dream Conch of Moonlit Coast, explained how chest scales revealed the Apocalypse Altar, and left his belongings to Angel before departing.
