After learning several basic Rokushiki techniques, Enel felt that Rokushiki did not suit him very well.

Considering that the Rumble-Rumble Fruit produced Shockwaves whenever he used its powers, he chose Hasshoken, which could likewise release Shockwaves and offered a certain degree of control over them.

This allowed him to apply the Rumble-Rumble Shockwaves, which had previously only dispersed passively, to Hasshoken techniques. It also gave them sonic booms that ordinary Hasshoken did not possess.

In the end, Enel gave this set of punches a new name.
