Background
Luo Hong joined Yellow Maple Valley because Li Huayuan, an elder of the sect and his clan ancestor, could recommend five Qi Refining juniors every ten years. Luo was selected only because that batch lacked enough qualified clan juniors. He entered the valley alongside Liu Jing, whom he recognized as Li Huayuan's third disciple. 1
He was born to a scholar-turned-rogue-cultivator father with a second-grade spirit root and a Li-family mother. He considers his appearance inherited from his father. 100
As a transmigrator, Luo feared that great powers might discover his origins and endanger both him and his hometown. This fear shaped his goal of becoming powerful enough to control his own destiny and protect the mortal world from demonic influence. 96
Rather than follow an established cultivation method to its conclusion, Luo studied inherited techniques to create a path suited to his personal Great Dao of Mass. 96 He initially cultivated the Great Water Origin Technique, despite Li Huayuan's disappointment that he had not selected a stronger first-class method. 98
Personality
Luo Hong is pragmatic, calculating, and highly protective of his long-term interests. He routinely assesses risks before accepting opportunities, whether delaying his journey to Great Jin to avoid Spirit Transmutation threats or refusing Xiang Zhili's invitation while injured. 529 713
He is capable of generosity toward friends, disciples, and allies. He gifted materials to Xiao Cui'er, magic tools to Yu Ying's children, helped Han Yunzhi prepare for Nascent Soul formation, and offered compensation to cultivators affected by his artifact refinement. 315 821 849
His compassion is selective. He rescued captives of the Blood Moon Sect and saved Wei Changqing, but erased the captives' memories of his face and remained indifferent to broader pleas for aid. 211 He also eliminates people he judges useless or dangerous, including Xu Feng and Liu Cheng. 889 1433
Luo prefers tangible progress toward the Great Dao over authority for its own sake. Though he enjoys being respected, he considers political power easy to obtain once cultivation is sufficiently high and ultimately less fulfilling than cultivation and exploration. 840
Appearance
Luo Hong is commonly described as a young man, though he frequently conceals his identity through aliases, disguises, masks, altered aura, and transformation techniques.
- His appearance resembles his father's rather than his mother's. 100
- He has used an iron mask while acting as a Yellow Maple Valley disciple. 69
- He can imitate the bloodline aura and features of a Mulan cultivator through the Blood Roar Eye. 415 416
- His Mahayana advancement altered his physique, giving him an aura of merging with heaven and earth. 1370
- He often adopts the identity of Zhuo Bufan to separate his public actions from his true name. 797
Abilities & Skills
Five Elements Cultivation and Divine Light
Luo Hong possesses Five-Colored True Blood and employs Five-Colored Divine Light, giving him powerful Five Elements-based offensive, defensive, and restraining capabilities.
- His bloodline power surpassed that of a Five-Light Clan expert, rendering ordinary Five-Colored Divine Light ineffective against him. 961
- He can dispel Five Elements spells and suppress visible and hidden restrictions with five-colored auspicious clouds. 1067
- He used Five-Colored Divine Light to counter a sonic divine ability from an Integration-stage opponent. 1139
- His physical body's Five Elements aura can imitate Immortal Yuan energy. 1688
Universe Power
Universe Power is Luo Hong's signature gravitational power, cultivated through maintaining Yin-Yang balance.
- It is dangerous to cultivate and can cause self-immolation if Yin-Yang balance is lost. 647
- Late-stage great cultivators require immense mana to resist his current Universe Power. 647
- He can use it to dispel illusionary restrictions and form invisible defensive shields. 877
- He used it to lift and carefully relocate Tai'a Divine Mountain, a range of hundreds of spirit peaks. 1250
Physical Body Cultivation
Luo Hong cultivates his body alongside his mana and treasures, making him unusually formidable at close range.
- Refining the Heavenly Fiend and Golden Lightning Bamboo enhanced his Iron Tripod Golden Body Technique and Eternal Wood Technique. 214
- He gained insight into the Law of Strength and the five realms of physical-body cultivation. 770
- He can enlarge his body and dramatically strengthen his attacks and defenses through the Heavenly Fiend Evil Dragon Armor. 961
- He planned to develop the Astonishing Thunder Immortal Body by opening Mysterious Apertures with Five-Colored Bloodline assistance. 1719
Purple Heaven Divine Thunder
Luo Hong wields a lightning divine ability potent enough to provoke tribulation phenomena.
- He used Purple Heaven Divine Thunder against a Nascent Soul Late-stage Black Robe Man, creating a tribulation in the sky. 392
- The Mulan Holy Beast retreated after sensing the tribulation it generated. 392
- He combined it with Time Illusion Bodies to counter the Hundred-Armed Demoness and her Black Scaled Great Serpent. 1277
Divine Sense Techniques
Luo Hong's primordial spirit and divine sense are major advantages in battle.
- His Primordial Spirit had reached the Six-Evolution Realm by his clash with the Black Robe Man. 392
- He formed silver giant weapons from divine sense, including an axe and hammer, to overwhelm an enemy's divine sense defense. 392
- He possesses the Mirage Spirit Eye, which exposes illusions and revealed the Purple-haired Little Beast behind the Smiling Face Forest illusion. 1132
- He practices the Star Pupil Illusion World Art and condensed Time Dao Marks while cultivating it. 1605
Artifact Refining, Talismans, and Formations
Luo Hong is a highly accomplished artifact refiner with deep knowledge of talismans and formations.
- He mastered the forging of top-grade magic artifacts in less than a year, surpassing Wang Tie and Liu Xinjing. 143
- His talisman business spread across Southern Sky, where his portrait became widely recognized. 386
- He created curse talismans capable of helping a cultivator kill an opponent of the same realm. 341
- He can repair large formations, including the Demon Sealing Great Formation around Xi Kingdom's seven sea islands. 527 529
- He became capable of refining ninth-grade immortal artifacts of Nine-Nine As You Wish quality. 1899
- He successfully refined the seventh-grade immortal artifact Spring Roaming Boots, granting space-teleportation mobility. 1900
