Background / History

Yuan Yao and her senior sister Yan Li ambushed and killed the Qingyang Sect's young master. Yuan Yao acquired his cultivation resources, enabling her to advance from Qi Refinement to Early Core Formation in less than a century. The killing made her a target of the Qingyang Sect, forcing her to conceal her identity for decades. Her parents were killed as a consequence of the young master's earlier pursuit of Luo Hong 164 166.

While exploring Void Sky Hall, Yuan Yao's disguise as a male cultivator is exposed by Zi Ling and Han Li. She reveals her true identity, then seeks Luo Hong's protection so that she can enter the inner hall and preserve Yan Li's Primordial Spirit. Luo Hong agrees due to their prior connection and their shared enmity toward the Qingyang Sect 164 166.

In the Void Sky Inner Hall, Yuan Yao travels with Luo Hong, shares a secret-realm map, helps defeat the giant wolf puppet, and obtains a petal of the Moon-Concealing Glazed Lotus to alter her appearance and evade pursuit.
