Background / History
Hua Xi grew up in the post-Cataclysm Wasteland. While fleeing soldiers after stealing weapons, killing several pursuers, and taking a vehicle, she was injured, starving, and ultimately captured by Lin Tuo while attempting to steal food in Mine Town. Her Floating Apocalypse identity tag revealed her name and faction affiliation. 33 35
Initially convinced that Lin Tuo was another dangerous Wasteland power, Hua Xi resisted interrogation and expected torture. His use of food as fair payment for information gradually changed her attitude; she explained the Cataclysm, the Wasteland's factions, and the Great Western Continent before joining him on the journey west. 34 38 39
When the Wasteland population was relocated, Hua Xi chose to leave with Lin Tuo rather than go to the Transit Hub. He brought her to Earth and housed her at Li Mountain, where she encountered ordinary comforts, modern cities, and plentiful food for the first time. 47 48
Lin Tuo formally accepted Hua Xi as his first student and named her Senior Disciple of his school. She trained in martial arts and cultivation, learned local language and culture, and assisted with translations, copying, and preparations for Lin Tuo's interventions in other worlds. 51 122 141 145
During the Tian Yuan Continent's Mortal World Experience, Hua Xi trained alongside Lin Tuo under sealed identities for half a year. The journey sharpened her combat ability and revealed the more vigilant, fierce personality she had concealed behind an obedient facade. 222 227 232
After Lin Tuo explained more about the interconnected worlds and their future threat, he entrusted Hua Xi with overseeing the Lishan Sword Sect. He later gave her a key to the Star Gate, allowing her to travel between Earth and the Tian Yuan Continent to develop the sect. 233 236
Appearance
Hua Xi was initially a small, severely undernourished Wasteland girl hidden beneath oversized winter clothing. Life at Li Mountain and later cultivation allowed her to grow healthier, taller, and more refined in both appearance and bearing. 33 48 232
- Fair, delicate face with lingering youthful features when first introduced. 33
- Initially pale, gaunt, and very thin from starvation. 48
- Black hair and sharply contrasting black-and-white eyes. 145
- Grew at least ten centimeters during the Tian Yuan Continent trial; her rounder childhood face became slimmer and more mature. 232
- Her post-training presence is compared to a honed sword. 232
Personality
Hua Xi is resilient, alert, and highly practical. Her Wasteland upbringing taught her to assess danger, submit strategically to overwhelming strength, and avoid probing secrets that could endanger her position. She initially presents herself as cute, obedient, and harmless around Lin Tuo, but this is partly a survival habit rather than her full character. 33 232 233
She is deeply loyal to Lin Tuo and trusts him even when she does not understand his powers or goals. At the same time, she strongly wants to prove that she is useful, repeatedly seeking missions and responsibilities instead of remaining only a cook or sheltered disciple. 47 129 219 302
Hua Xi is curious about the wider world and adapts quickly to unfamiliar environments, from modern Earth to the Demon Capital. She struggles more with formal study—especially Chinese—but persists through frustration and intensive practice. 48 122 226
