Background

Qing Lian and Hong Zhuang escaped Jambudvipa by concealing themselves in the Bone Boat and Flesh Pill, using Qiongqi's body as cover. While Hong Zhuang consumed Qiongqi's Beast Soul, Qing Lian had to suppress her own urge to consume Hong Zhuang's soul. The two entered the Human World intending to seek their “Mother.” 1149

After escaping Hong Zhuang, Qing Lian arrived in Datian Town and saved Luo San, turning him into her bloodline descendant and chief agent. Through his teahouse and intelligence network, she selected five agents, fulfilled their wishes, and secretly bestowed the Blood of the Green Serpent upon them. She deliberately kept the network small to avoid being traced and later dissolved her descendants after joining the Strategic Affairs Department. 1464 2850

Her conflict with Hong Zhuang eventually became open warfare. Qing Lian used Bamboo Leaf Greens, Three Lives Mistake, and the Green Plum Blossom Blade Sea, but Hong Zhuang’s Heavenly Immortal Fall overwhelmed her. Activating Heavenly Ghost Power drew the Primordial Tent’s attention and subjected Qing Lian to Solar Gang Fire, leaving her badly injured before Bai Qixue intervened. 1503 1504

Following her rescue, Qing Lian was interrogated by Luo Yan, Bai Qixue, and Chu Hao. She agreed to cooperate against Hong Zhuang, supplied intelligence on Heavenly Ghost society and the Primordial Tent, and temporarily lived under Bai Qixue’s supervision. Bai Shaotang later sent Qing Lian back to Jambudvipa to investigate the Thrones.
