Sect Master Tongtian spoke with a ragged old man who explained how the Primordial World's increasingly frequent tribulations threatened the Great Dao Domains and praised Tongtian for accepting the burden of destroying a dangerous book. As Tongtian suspected the old man was Daoist Hongyun, the old man revealed how Zhunti had betrayed Hongyun after taking his meditation cushion and becoming a Saint.

• A ragged old man appeared beside Sect Master Tongtian and asked why he had destroyed a book, and Tongtian said its existence could cause instability despite the Karma he would bear.
• The old man called Tongtian a powerful Calamity Responder and described the Primordial World's Dragon-Phoenix, Witch-Demon, Investiture of the Gods, and Journey to the West Tribulations.
• The old man warned that the shrinking intervals between tribulations pointed to a serious problem across the Great Dao Domains and criticized Daoist Hongjun for creating too many powerhouses and draining the Primordial World's energy.

• Sect Master Tongtian examined the old man and learned that he was Ge Hong, not Daoist Hongyun, though Ge Hong said Hong Yun had reached the Saint Lord realm.
• Ge Hong warned Tongtian that an immeasurable tribulation would engulf the Primordial Tribulation Realm and named Tongtian its Calamity Responder.

Nezha attacked Sun Wukong, but Wukong defeated him and protected Flower-Fruit Mountain from a Golden Alms Bowl. Li Jing realized that the heavenly general wielding the bowl—and possibly the Four Heavenly Kings of Mo—were spies for the Western Teachings.

• Nezha hurled his Universe Ring at Sun Wukong and attacked him despite Li Jing's attempt to mediate.
• Sun Wukong used his Heavenly Law Manifestation and Sea-Supporting Purple Gold Beam to shatter the Universe Ring and injure Nezha.

Sun Wukong thwarted a Heavenly General’s attempt to strike him with the Golden Alms Bowl, then clashed with Nezha after Li Jing demanded he answer for damage to the Foundation of the Heavenly Veins. The chapter ended with Li Jing using his pagoda to block Sun Wukong’s staff and protect Nezha.

• As the Golden Alms Bowl flew toward Sun Wukong, a hand emerged from the eye between his brows and punched it aside.
• The Golden Alms Bowl struck the fleeing Heavenly General, obliterating his body and soul, before returning to Sun Wukong’s brow.

Sun Wukong battered Li Jing’s Nine Heavens Linglong Pagoda until it shattered, leaving the heavenly generals exposed and unconscious soldiers scattered in the void. Nezha suspected a conspiracy involving Sun Wukong, Bodhi, and Tongtian, while Sun Wukong sensed that Nezha knew the secret behind the Journey to the West but restrained his urge to kill him.

• Li Jing shielded the heavenly soldiers and generals inside the Nine Heavens Linglong Pagoda as Sun Wukong attacked it with his enormous staff.
• Nezha realized Sun Wukong’s strength exceeded that of an ordinary Demon King and suspected his presence at Flower-Fruit Mountain was part of a conspiracy.

In the Hall of Supreme Harmony, Grand Supreme Elder Lord pushed for a new attack on Sun Wukong, deepening divisions within the Heavenly Court, and the Jade Emperor agreed to his proposal to avert internal conflict.

• Sun Wukong swept Li Jing, Nezha, and the heavenly forces into the sky, then returned to training his monkeys.
• Li Jing healed the injured soldiers and returned to the Hall of Supreme Harmony with Nezha to report their failure to the Jade Emperor.

• Jiang Ziya dismissed the court session and told Emperor Ziwei and Emperor Gouchen that Taishang and Yuanshi had been persuaded to compete again.
• Sun Wukong sent his monkeys into hiding when Grand Supreme Elder Lord, the Four Heavenly Kings of Mo, Nezha, and Heavenly troops arrived at Flower-Fruit Mountain.

• Sun Wukong shattered Grand Supreme Elder Lord’s treasures and destroyed his body, but Nezha stabbed him with a black sword and severed him.
• Nezha’s black sword transformed into a vortex that swallowed Sun Wukong and the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals.

Kong Xuan arrived to assist with the Spacetime Rift, confronted the Four Heavenly Kings of Mo, and slapped Grand Supreme Elder Lord before the Jade Emperor defended his actions.

After Daoist Kong Xuan stopped a Dark World invader from escaping Nezha, Jiang Ziya took control of Tushita Palace and the Heavenly Court’s pill production.

• Nezha confronted Grand Supreme Elder Lord over the missing pills, and Sect Master Tongtian used the Great Art of Soul Shifting to reveal that they had been sent to the Dark World.
• Sect Master Tongtian explained that the Dark World had supplied the coordinates for Spacetime Rifts and that its inhabitants could replace people in the Bright World.

• Jiang Ziya left Kong Xuan to seal the Spacetime Rift and traveled with Sect Master Tongtian to Eight Views Palace on Shouyang Mountain.
