Sect Master Tongtian uncovered the Dark World’s infiltration of the Heavenly Court and Human Sect while Sun Wukong’s rise sparked conflict with Heaven. The leaders formed the Tian Yu Alliance to resist the Dark World and foreign races, and Tongtian left to investigate the danger facing his disciples.

• Sect Master Tongtian found a manual for refining Nie in the Demon God Hall, destroyed it to prevent disaster, and heard Ge Hong warn that Tongtian was the Calamity Responder for an approaching immeasurable tribulation.
• Tongtian took Afang under his protection, defeated Ao Tian, and taught Afang, Ao Tian, and Xu Fu alchemy before leaving the Demon God Hall.
• Sun Wukong fought the Heavenly Court’s forces at Flower-Fruit Mountain, then died in Nezha’s black vortex, and Tongtian entered the vortex, restored the Heavenly troops, and took control of Sun Wukong’s body.
• The Jade Emperor appointed Sun Wukong Bimawen, and Sun Wukong refined a pill that advanced Nezha’s cultivation as Kong Xuan and Tongtian investigated Spacetime Rifts.
• Tongtian and Kong Xuan exposed Grand Supreme Elder Lord’s theft of Heavenly Court pills for the Dark World, and they destroyed a shadow that had possessed Nezha.
• Tongtian and Jiang Ziya defeated the White-Clad Man at Eight Views Palace and freed Taishang Laozi, Great Master Xuandu, and True Person Du'e from his trap.
• The leaders gathered at Zixiao Palace and formed the Tian Yu Alliance under Kong Xuan to resist the Dark World and extraterritorial races.
• Tongtian put the Interception Sect on high alert, found that nearly half its newer-generation disciples had been invaded, and restored and protected them before visiting the Moon Palace.

Sect Master Tongtian guided Nezha through the Blood Flood Dragon’s calamity, restored the Princess of the Women's Country, and helped Nezha form a bond with Bai Liansheng. He then followed a trail into a strange Small World and found his target, Xue Tao, as her performance threatened to seize the crowd’s souls.

• Sect Master Tongtian warned Nezha that killing the Blood Flood Dragon would bring terrible Karma, then helped him resolve the Sin Spirit’s calamity by finding its victims and settling their resentment.
• Tongtian uncovered alien souls within the Heavenly Horses, then traveled with Nezha to Qin and investigated a woman whose body contained foreign spirits and remnants of seven souls.
• Tongtian summoned Diao Chan’s primordial spirit from an underground palace, learned her history with the Blood Flood Dragon, and helped her reclaim the Women's Country from the former Imperial Preceptor.
• The Princess granted the Blood Flood Dragon its promised inner sea, settling its Karma, while Tongtian brought Nezha to Biyou Palace and encouraged his relationship with Bai Liansheng.
• Tongtian helped the White Lotus Sect defeat a monster and restored Madam Bai, then followed Nezha’s target through a Brahma World portal into a Small World.
• Tongtian survived the Small World’s traps, recruited Big Teapot, and identified Xue Tao as his target after encountering Lüzhu at Hongxiu Zhao.

Sect Master Tongtian resolved the Human Realm’s time-space disorder, arranged Nezha and Bai Liansheng’s marriage, and attended the Peach Banquet, where conflict with Shen Jiang and Hongjun began. Hongjun struck Tongtian unconscious, and Tongtian awoke beneath Five Finger Mountain as his tribulation started.

• Sect Master Tongtian captured the true Xue Tao, subdued her double, and helped the two Xue Taos remove the Blood Flood Dragon’s Karma before claiming his hidden treasure.
• Sect Master Tongtian and Nezha followed Xue Tao through a Spacetime Rift into a world of vast crystal minerals, then emerged near the Heavenly River and sealed the passage.
• Sect Master Tongtian placed Bai Liansheng in charge of Tushita Palace, and Nezha announced that she had agreed to become his Dao Companion.
• Sect Master Tongtian discovered that Di Xin had possessed Ying Zheng to investigate the Human Realm’s Time-Space Disorder, then helped Ying Zheng confront Afang, who revealed herself as Cloud Mother.
• Sect Master Tongtian captured Cloud Mother and cleared the disorder by swallowing the redundant cities and mountains, but a strange force destroyed his Saint body and led Sun Wukong toward the eighty-one tribulations.
• Sect Master Tongtian arranged Nezha and Bai Liansheng’s betrothal with the Li family and White Lotus Sect, then attended the Peach Banquet, where Sun Wukong’s fifth-row seat provoked rumors of a deliberate snub.
• Dao Ancestor Hongjun arrived seeking Sun Wukong, and after Shen Jiang attacked, Sun Wukong struck her Phoenix form while Hongjun immobilized Tongtian and knocked him unconscious.
• Sect Master Tongtian awoke beneath Five Finger Mountain with a python around his neck, found that his body could not circulate energy, and formed a cloud after seven days before creating a bow and arrow three months later.

Sect Master Tongtian cultivated beneath Five Finger Mountain, secretly prepared against Hongjun and foreign-realm forces, and killed Guanyin and Amitabha Buddha after his suppression ended. He then joined Jiang Liuer on the journey west, where a young lady asked them to drive away a demon.

• Sect Master Tongtian cared for and trained the living beings around Five Finger Mountain, studied ancient books from other domains, and eventually recovered enough power to leave the mountain and find Golden Ao Island.
• After secretly preparing for a hundred years, Sect Master Tongtian defeated General Shen’s attacks, manipulated him into discovering Zhang Yan’s secret, and later revealed that he had also taken control of the recreated Amitabha Buddha.
• Liu Bowen learned that Shen Shan was not his biological father and that Zhang Wan was his aunt, then followed her to Unnamed Island in search of Yinglong’s Dragon Bone.
• Talisman Master, Zhang Wan, and Zhang Yan fought over the Dragon Bone, and the resulting upheaval destroyed Unnamed Island and killed Haotian Saint Venerable.
• When his five-hundred-year suppression ended, Sect Master Tongtian disguised himself as Sun Wukong and rejected Amitabha Buddha’s offer, killing Guanyin and then Amitabha beneath Five Finger Mountain.
• Sect Master Tongtian and Jiang Liuer set out west together after Hongjun explained their shared struggle against foreign-realm powers, and Jiang Liuer killed a Tiger Demon that tried to throw him off.
• A young lady asked Jiang Liuer to drive away a demon troubling her, but he insisted that Sect Master Tongtian was the one who could subdue demons.
