As Richard accumulated enough Uranium-235 to build a weapon, Pandora and the Lich Old Man worked on a Collective Magic Puppet, while the Truth Society investigated Qiekafu’s death and restoration.

• Richard fought Long Mei Er with missiles, spells, and the Gloves of Extinction, but Long Mei Er survived and granted him freedom before taking him to Pompeii.
• Long Mei Er showed Richard Pompeii’s unstable energy core, and Richard proposed a network of routes and backup cores to improve the city’s energy system.
• Long Mei Er told Richard that the Truth Society wanted to replace stellar power with energy from the planet’s core, and Richard accepted a residence in Pompeii while keeping his nuclear research plans.

His experiments triggered a magical electromagnetic pulse that damaged Pompeii Town, but he completed three atomic bombs and prepared to leave before his residence was demolished.

• Richard learned that the Eight-Armed Skeleton had saved the Lich Old Man, communicated with its consciousness, and agreed to call it Master A Nan.
