Richard pursued the Black Spirit Empire books while Somen and Mu Keni killed those searching for the Black Spirit King's secret. After obtaining another book, Richard killed Somen but escaped Mu Keni, while the Earl-level enhancement left him critically ill and Armstrong fought Mu Keni outside Frank Tavern.

• An Qi'er warned Richard that Yiwa wanted to kill him and was searching for books connected to a secret and a great treasure.
• Richard took the books from Yiwa's courtyard and poisoned her cup, but Somen and Mu Keni arrived and killed Yiwa before Richard's plan could take effect.
• Somen and Mu Keni searched for the books, killed three Black-Robed Men, and left Richard wary of their return, and Richard later escorted An Qi'er back to White Stone Tower Academy.
• Richard examined the Black Spirit Empire books, identified eight of the eleven expected volumes, and began extracting characters from their numbered pages.
• Richard developed Blood of the Gods and Life Potion, while Erlai arranged for the Steel Brotherhood to deliver book number 39.
• Somen and Mu Keni attacked the Steel Brotherhood for the book, and Richard arrived afterward, revived Baji long enough to retrieve it, then faced Somen and Mu Keni in a trap.

Richard pursued the secret behind a Black Spirit Empire phrase and an ancient ballad, which led him to Alex’s ancestor’s tomb. After retreating from its overwhelming beetle swarm, he returned with new spell rings and killed at least a thousand beetles by trapping them in a narrow passage and setting them alight.

• Armstrong and Macbeth fought Mu Keni, who had advanced to a Level 2 Wizard, while Richard collapsed from exhaustion in his laboratory and Pandora nearly gave him sulfuric acid.
• Richard recovered, searched Somen’s Space Iron Ring, and combined hidden characters from Black Spirit Empire books into a phrase that triggered a familiar melody.
• Su La Di revived Bo Tu La and joined Meifeilisi’s efforts to respond to attacks on White Stone City, while Ji Bo Lun ordered Somen and Mu Keni to disrupt White Stone Tower sooner.
• Richard connected the melody to a tavern ballad, questioned Ruth about its lyrics, and learned that it was called “Father Captain Alex.”
• Richard discovered a passage beneath Alex’s ancestor’s grave, fought through successive beetle swarms, and retreated from a vast horde after using a White Jade Shard and other attacks.
• Richard prepared new rings for long-range and area-of-effect spells, reshaped the tomb corridor into three chokepoints, and drew the beetles into the passage.
• Richard trapped the advancing beetles with Greasy Swamp and set them alight with Chain Explosion, then reignited the weakening flames until at least a thousand beetles were charred.

Richard survived the tomb’s spore infection, sterilized it with chlorine, and discovered a treasure hall inside a space suitcase. As White Stone Tower and the organization linked to Somen and Mu Keni clashed, Richard rebuilt his laboratory and developed simultaneous spell attacks.

• Richard fought through the tomb’s Zerg Army, scorpions, and mushroom forest before spores infected his lungs and forced him to retreat.
• Richard treated his spore-caused pneumonia with Sulfonamide, then produced chlorine and used it to kill the tomb’s creatures before neutralizing the gas and exploring again.
• Richard opened the suitcase in Hall No.15 and found a treasure palace with relics, spell scrolls, and a Golden Mask guardian, then stored its contents and sealed the tomb.
• Somen and Mu Keni’s organization attacked White Stone Tower, and Ji Bo Lun joined them in a battle that left the tower’s core in ruins.
• Richard brought Pandora into the suitcase palace, where she tore the Golden Mask from the wall and bit it, then searched the damaged White Stone Tower Academy for information.
• White Stone Tower and the Council responded to attacks by the mysterious organization, while Ji Bo Lun and four Wizards fought Master Bi La Si.
• Richard tested his new spell scrolls, demolished the palace to make room for a laboratory complex, and began building electric lighting.
• After Alex reported the fighting and the loss of his home, Richard tested coordinated spell volleys and successfully fired multiple Flame Impact and One-Ring Explosion spells together.

Richard uncovered the meaning of Stockholm, prepared new weapons and defenses, and decided to travel to Moore with Pandora. As White Stone City descended into conflict, Ji Bo Lun advanced his attack plans, and a roar interrupted Richard’s preparations to leave.

• Richard solved the shifting metal puzzle and found a parchment marked “Stockholm,” while the Golden Mask remembered being a sealed soul but not its past.
• Richard witnessed Macbeth and other Wizards buried, then found Ji Bo Lun killing Su La Di and fought him long enough to escape with Hai Di.
• Richard sent Hai Di to Wood Island and developed Spell Salt, Salt Explosion Art, and a Reaction Shield as White Stone City fell into chaos.
• Richard promised to take Pandora with him, discovered she could shape glass and metal, and worked with her to build equipment for Eden Garden.
• Richard learned from Hai Di’s letters that Wood Island was also called Moore and that its castle held strange dangers, then decided to travel there.
• A short Wizard killed Balun and two other Wizards after using them to scout White Stone Tower, and Haimen organized searches across the city.
• Ji Bo Lun announced an attack on White Stone City, then changed his plans and ordered Wa Xi Li to lead the operation in two days.
• Richard packed Eden Garden and prepared to leave for Moore with Pandora, but rushed toward a tremendous roar after she went to check on the missing carriage.
