Richard searched Florence for Hai Di and palladium, meeting Sherlock and Master Lawrence before Lawrence was killed by agents of a mysterious organization. Richard developed an explosive alloy and investigated the organization, while Eden Garden remained under reconstruction and two rival Wizards arrived at his courtyard.

• Richard arrived in Florence, searched for Hai Di, and attended an underground auction where he bought a Corpse Oil Painting and other items.
• Richard tested materials in Eden Garden, concluded that palladium might work, and visited Sherlock, where he met Lucia and asked about Ballas Silver.
• Richard searched Sherlock’s warehouse, then visited Master Lawrence and obtained Toso Silver in exchange for a clockmaking design.
• Lawrence revealed that his family’s inventions came from inherited Black Spirit Empire books and blueprints, while Richard shared that his knowledge came from Earth.
• Muse ordered Franklin to eliminate target Number 378, and Franklin killed Lawrence after Mu Tuo and Lei Ke died defending him.
• Richard found the Black Spirit Empire emblem at Lawrence’s burned courtyard and sent Mu En to investigate, while continuing experiments that produced explosive 237 Alloy.
• Richard and Mu En killed a towering pursuer, then Richard told Mu En to suspend the investigation, and Franklin concealed Ya Te’s disappearance from Muse.
• Richard examined the organization’s papers and began rebuilding Eden Garden, while a woman from Jungle Hut and a man from Deep Blue Fort arrived arguing over the Starry Night Meditation Hat.

Richard settled old debts with Nellide and developed powerful Spell Bullets, using them to destroy the organization’s ambush in Floren. As the organization moved against suspected threats and White Stone Tower pursued talks, Richard and Pandora entered Black Stone Graveyard and killed a shadow creature.

• Richard killed a Deep Blue Fort attacker with a silver needle, then helped Nellide repay her debt by finding supplies and Gray Moonstone, though she promised to return and marry him in three years.
• Richard smelted Nellide’s molybdenite and used the alloy to develop Spell Bullets, then tested a crude Spell Gun and built a rapid-fire weapon.
• Qiao Si and two Brown-Haired Wizards ambushed Richard, but he killed them with Alloy rounds and Spell Salt and decided to stage a trap for the organization.
• Franklin led his team into Richard’s underground passage, where they encountered a masked decoy and a hidden Spell Gun that killed them all.
• Richard examined the dead Wizards’ records and used the locations of their missions to estimate that the Black Spirit King’s Treasure might lie near Black Stone Graveyard.
• Muse repeatedly killed and resurrected Franklin, then forced him to reveal six suspected threats before killing them and another Wizard.
• The Black-Robed Man killed Linda after she discovered Sig’s deception, while Sig met Macbeth and the White Stone Tower delegation to discuss business.
• Richard and Pandora entered the passage at Black Stone Graveyard, where Richard shot a moving shadow with Spell Bullets and approached its body.

Richard infiltrated Jungle Hut, killed the two impostors seeking Guluo’s Holy Land Key, and found the key hidden in Guluo’s dentures. He entered Yadis and uncovered notes for the Hand of God, then returned to study how to adapt chipmaking methods to the Gloves of Extinction while other forces pursued their own plans.

• Richard and Pandora fought through the underground monsters, found a Blood-Red Short Staff and the Gloves of Extinction scrolls, and uncovered the clue “Yadis.”
• Richard joined Jungle Hut’s new students under disguise, and Quentin selected him to become Pust’s student and attack Guluo.
• Pust and a Female Wizard fought over Guluo’s Holy Land Key, but Richard killed them both with the Blood-Red Short Staff and searched Guluo’s chamber.
• Richard bluffed Feili, built a convincing identity as Guluo’s student, and met Hai Di and Nellide at the Exchange Meeting.
• After Circe warned Hai Di and Nellide about Richard, he found the Holy Land Key hidden inside Guluo’s dentures and used it to enter Yadis.
• Richard found Yadis’s journal and the Hand of God design, then began devising a Spell Chip method for making the Gloves of Extinction.
• Macbeth met with the God Raven Church, Muse killed the Quake In Society’s leader, and Wan An sent Mas to monitor Richard.

Richard created the Spell Chips and Death Finger, then survived an explosion and became an independent Wizard. At Deep Blue Fort, he searched for Yadis Village with new and old companions while the Exchange Conference approached and unseen figures prepared their plans.

• Richard made silicon Spell Chips and installed them in the Gloves of Extinction, but they repeatedly burned out until Pandora’s remark led him to build a single-finger weapon called Death Finger.
• Richard tested Death Finger’s power, discovered Mas spying on him, and used Power of Fate on him, leaving Mas unable to speak.
• Wan An, Feili, and Auer confronted Richard after finding Guluo’s corpse, but Richard killed Auer, disabled Wan An, and escaped with Pandora before an explosion destroyed Guluo’s building.
• Richard claimed at his trial that Wan An and the others had attacked Guluo, and Eva declared him innocent despite suspecting his story, and Richard chose independent Wizard status and continued his work.
• Muse ordered Franklin to proceed with their plan, while Sig’s operation advanced and White Stone Tower’s survivors prepared an Exchange Conference at Deep Blue Fort.
• Richard learned that Yadis referred to a village near Deep Blue Fort and traveled to the conference, where he searched historical records and began excavating possible sites with Nancy and Gelo.
• Richard uncovered an ancient village but ruled it out as Yadis, then led Nancy, Gelo, Hai Di, Nellide, and Teddy through further searches before pausing until after the conference.
• As the Wizards gathered at Deep Blue Fort, Richard planned to resume searching for Yadis Village after the conference, while Macbeth flew into the night and unseen figures carried out the final arrangements of their plans.
