This was because he had received relevant memories, making him quite familiar with the process. Moreover, his own ability to prepare medicinal formulas was excellent, allowing him to proceed step by step. This might have been difficult for others, but it was not particularly hard for him.

It was as though a Top Alchemist were personally teaching him how to prepare pill formulas, giving careful guidance and allowing him to ask for advice repeatedly. Once Yang Chan absorbed those memories, he had mastered them.

Alchemy, however, was different. It was not enough for his mind to grasp it; his hands had to follow suit. He also had to control the timing, handle the changes arising midway, and more. Simply following the memories was not enough to successfully refine a pill.

This was also why Yang Chan had repeatedly failed to refine third Marrow Cleansing pills. There were too many variables involved. To fully master it required time, mental power, control, and a whole series of other factors.
