Background / History
Tianxuan Holy Land was founded around Tongtian Wushang Mountain by a previous Holy Lord. The mountain’s name represents the sect’s ambition to transcend the boundary between mortals and gods and reach the Divine Aperture Realm. Although successive Holy Lords pursued this goal, the destruction of the Taiyu Divine Continent’s Divine Veins ten thousand years earlier prevented any breakthrough to that realm for generations. 627
The Qingyuan Sect was established in the Great Zhou Dynasty by an ancestor from Tianxuan Holy Land. After internal turmoil caused Tianxuan Holy Land to withdraw from external affairs, its former Great Zhou-affiliated force was destroyed; Qingyuan Sect was later selected to replace it. 361 385
When Taiyin Heaven appeared in Great Zhou, Tianxuan Holy Land proposed that Qingyuan Sect return to its ancestral origin and establish a peak within its blessed land. The arrangement also allowed Tianxuan Holy Land to legitimately compete for opportunities in Great Zhou through an affiliated local force, without violating agreements among the major Holy Lands. 361 391
Qingyuan Sect formally became an affiliated force of Tianxuan Holy Land, while retaining its base in Qingzhou. Its members could be sent to cultivate in the Holy Land in batches, but the parent sect was deliberately preserved rather than emptied. 391 392 621
Territory & Infrastructure
| Location / Asset | Description |
|---|---|
| Xuanxu Grotto-heaven | The controlled grotto-heaven that houses Tianxuan Holy Land. Its access point can be opened at will by the Holy Land through a void portal; entry and exit require authorization and a Xuanxu Token. 624 625 |
| Tianyuan City | An outer city of the grotto-heaven inhabited largely by descendants of Holy Land contributors and retired members. Its spiritual-energy density is comparable to the Zixu Secret Realm. 625 626 |
| Tongtian Wushang Mountain | The true headquarters of Tianxuan Holy Land, built at the convergence of the grotto-heaven’s spiritual veins. It contains the Holy Land’s most concentrated spiritual energy. 626 |
| Fifty-eight peaks | Cultivation peaks carved from Tongtian Wushang Mountain. Earlier-developed peaks lie closer to the summit and possess denser spiritual energy; Chiyu Peak is the newest and lowest-ranked. 628 |
| Pill Pavilion | A vast alchemy institution built on Earth Fire. Its foundation, rare materials, and Top Alchemists surpass those of the Great Zhou Alchemist Alliance; it holds a notably independent and transcendent position within the Holy Land. 629 635 |
| Natural Qi Pill cultivation method | Mixed herbal scents are used to form Natural Qi Pills, allowing cultivators below the Internal Refinement realm to absorb medicinal qi and improve cultivation. 627 |
| Spirit-gathering formation | A formation gathers the grotto-heaven’s spiritual qi toward the true Holy Land, producing mist-like spiritual energy and sustaining extensive spiritual-plant cultivation. 626 |
| Mountain-protecting array | A large defensive formation around the Sacred Mountain and Tongtian Wushang Mountain, equipped with sealing and killing functions against intruders. 623 624 |
Organization
Leadership
- Holy Lord / Holy Master — The office controls most cultivation resources and carries the greatest institutional authority. Its holders are expected to be exceptional figures who prevailed over both peers and challengers. 613 635
- Supreme Elders — High-ranking Blood-Changing Martial Saints who influence major decisions, succession, external campaigns, and Secret Realm deployments. 669 861
- Peak Masters — Leaders of the Holy Land’s peaks. A peak’s standing and resources depend heavily on its strength and development. 626
- Pill Pavilion — Though part of the Holy Land, its Pavilion Masters cannot be fully controlled even by the Holy Lord or the Saintess. 635
Known Leaders and Figures
- He Zixuan — Tianxuan Saintess who later succeeds as Tianxuan Holy Lord after reaching the Blood-Changing Martial Saint realm. 553 895 905
- Baili Xun — Tianxuan Holy Master during the Saintess–Holy Son succession conflict; a Martial Saint who directs the Holy Land’s external responses. 613 853
- Baili Xi — Tianxuan Holy Son and Baili Xun’s son. His rivalry with He Zixuan shapes much of the Holy Land’s internal politics. 613 853
- Shangguan Yutian — Previous Holy Master and the Holy Land’s strongest known expert, possessing ninth Blood Transformation cultivation and a spear-type divine artifact. 853 904
- Bai Keyi — Pill Pavilion Master and one of the Holy Land’s most influential Top Alchemists. 613 732
Internal Politics
The Holy Land follows the principle that “the strong remain strong,” cultivating prodigies through accumulated resources and selecting future leaders through fierce competition. 613
The succession struggle between the Tianxuan Saintess and Tianxuan Holy Son escalated into a conflict involving peaks, Supreme Elders, Blood-Changing Martial Saints, and the Pill Pavilion. Baili Xi’s confinement temporarily strengthened He Zixuan’s position, but his later return from the War of Righteous and Demonic Paths reopened the contest. 669 806 853
He Zixuan’s successful Blood Transformation ultimately solidified her position as the next Holy Master. By the time of the Divine Vein crisis, she was serving as the new Tianxuan Holy Lord. 895 905
Cultivation Resources & Influence
- The grotto-heaven’s spiritual veins and special cultivation areas support long-term cultivation, high-grade spiritual-material growth, and breakthroughs for Internal Refinement Grandmasters. 621
- Tianxuan Holy Land controls multiple Secret Realms and spiritual fields in addition to Xuanxu Grotto-heaven, ensuring continued supplies for its disciples and Pill Pavilion. 714 808
- Its affiliated forces are spread across major imperial dynasties and unclaimed territories, providing intelligence and regional influence. 613
- The Holy Land generally avoids intervening in imperial succession or internal dynastic affairs, but actively enters contests for Secret Realms, legacies, spiritual materials, and other opportunities. 613
- Its Blood-Changing Martial Saints, Top Alchemists, accumulated ancient texts, and controlled resources place it far above the Great Zhou Dynasty in overall foundation. 669 808
- Despite its resources, Tianxuan Holy Land is not free of danger: internal factional disputes, hostile neighboring powers, and underground Earth Demons have all threatened its stability. 504 669
Relationships
- Qingyuan Sect — Affiliated force in the Great Zhou Dynasty, presented publicly as a returning ancestral branch. It gives Tianxuan Holy Land legitimate access to Great Zhou opportunities while receiving protection, resources, and cultivation placements. 361 391 539
- Chiyu Peak — Peak established for Liu Xuan and Qingyuan Sect members; it relies on recruits from Qingyuan Sect because its leaders lack trusted local subordinates. 628 629
- Earth Demons — Humanoid underground alien race that emerged beneath the grotto-heaven and became a major external threat. Tianxuan Holy Land mobilized forces to suppress them and eventually turned the Demon Cave into a new spiritual field. 502 613 713
- Supreme Sect, Purple Mansion Holy Land, and Heavenly Fragrance Sect — Fellow major Holy Lands that alternately compete with and cooperate alongside Tianxuan Holy Land, including a later alliance against starry-sky powerhouses. 727 903
- Taixuan Secret Realm — A Secret Realm discovered within Tianxuan Holy Land’s sphere of influence. The Holy Land moved quickly to control it before rival powers could intervene. 725
- Dongyuan Cloud Sea Secret Realm — A jointly controlled Secret Realm entered by Tianxuan Holy Land’s younger generation to gain resources and strengthen future pillars of the sect. 858 861

Tianxuan Holy Land joins neighboring Holy Lands in an alliance, relocates its strategic focus with other major powers, and relies heavily on Shangguan Yutian’s combat strength for deterrence. 903 904
Trivia

- Tianxuan Holy Land’s outer population is comparable to that of an Imperial Dynasty, despite the organization not establishing a dynasty of its own. 628
- The descendants of contributors may remain in the grotto-heaven and benefit from its spiritual energy, but continued residence depends on their family’s contributions and personal effort. 626
