Clearing wasteland is quite troublesome. Besides the weeds on the ground, you also have to remove the grass roots and stones underground.
Of course, before that, the land needs to be plowed.
While Charles was in the common room thinking about how to ask Seamus for help plowing the land, Hermione brought an older sister to find him.
Hermione introduced him to Charles, "This is Eleanor Chatelot, a sixth-year student. She wants to ask you about those feathers... Hey, don't look at her like that!"
Charles's "memory" had no record of Eleanor Chatelot. He had only seen her a few times since the start of the school year, but she left a deep impression.
Eleanor was over 1.75 meters tall, with looks good enough to make it in Hollywood. Her brown hair cascaded down to her thighs like a waterfall, and she had a great figure that even a wizard's robe couldn't hide. A faint smile always graced her face.
Seeing Charles staring blankly at her, then getting kicked by Hermione, she covered her mouth and said with a laugh, "Smith, your girlfriend is going to get angry!"
"No, no!" Charles quickly denied. "She and I are just primary school classmates. I was thinking, when she's ready to find a boyfriend, I'll introduce my friend David Beckham to her."
Hermione stared at him for two seconds, then asked, "Who is David Beckham?"
Charles replied, "Oh, he's a football player. He just joined Manchester United this summer."
"Really?" Eleanor chuckled then. "My family lives in Manchester. Are you a Manchester United fan too?"
Charles shook his head and answered very seriously, "I'm an AC Milan fan."
Hermione couldn't stand the two of them going off-topic, so she said to Charles, "Chatelot wants to ask you about those feathers."
Eleanor had a "I know what you're up to" smile on her face and said to Charles, "This isn't the place to talk about it. Please follow me."
Charles could tell she understood the origin of those feathers. The common room was not a good place to discuss going into the Forbidden Forest, so he left with her.
Eleanor led Charles to a corridor quite far from the common room. A painting of several ladies picnicking by a lake hung on the wall. Eleanor greeted them, the painting moved aside, and a door appeared behind it.
Charles was startled by what he saw behind the door. Upon entering, he found himself in a potion laboratory, complete with all sorts of equipment. Shelves lining the walls were filled with various medicinal herbs.
Further inside were two more doors. Eleanor took him for a tour. Behind one door was a bedroom, and behind the other was a study. A tea table was placed by the window.
Eleanor invited Charles to sit at the tea table and poured him a cup of tea.
Charles asked her in surprise, "Miss Chatelot, you have a private laboratory here at Hogwarts?"
Eleanor replied with a smile, "Just call me Eleanor. There's no need to be so formal."
"This private laboratory was arranged for me by Professor Dumbledore. I'm very interested in potion-making and have some talent, so I need a place to conduct my own experiments."
"Only Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Snape, who comes to guide me occasionally, know about this. You are the first guest to visit besides them."
Charles sighed, "Professor Dumbledore actually arranged a laboratory just for you. Your family must be high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Magic."
He thought that for the Headmaster and Deputy Headmistress to agree to this, and for Snape to guide her, Eleanor's family must be very influential, far more so than the Malfoys.
Eleanor casually said to him, "My parents are Muggles. It's not really a big deal. It's just that I've been donating 50,000 Galleons to Hogwarts every year since my first year."
Charles blinked, his jaw dropping in astonishment. 50,000 Galleons a year was 250,000 Pounds. Compared to this, Malfoy's donation of broomsticks to the Slytherin Quidditch team next year was nothing.
Eleanor smiled slightly and asked him, "Do you still remember Ronila Egret?"
Charles was taken aback and immediately replied, "You know Ronila? She's my primary school classmate, along with Hermione Granger."
"Of course, I know Ronila," Eleanor said with a brilliant smile. "Her mother and my mother are sisters. We are all very grateful to you for rescuing her from the kidnappers. We wanted to invite you to our home this summer, but you and your grandfather went to France. Ronila was at her grandmother's house in France at the time, so we tried to contact you there, but you suddenly returned to Britain."
Charles confirmed two things. The first was that this world was sometimes very small. The second was that the person in front of him was the daughter of a major capitalist. In terms of wealth, the Malfoy family was nothing compared to hers. 250,000 Pounds a year was nothing to her family, and it might even bring higher returns.
He tentatively asked, "You're not going to take the potions home to sell... no... to give away as gifts, are you?"
Eleanor looked at Charles with satisfaction and said to him, "That kidnapping case was not publicized in the end because the police used the Truth Serum I prepared on the kidnappers. They found out that a family member was the mastermind, and it would have been bad for their reputation if it became public."
"I can tell you what happened next. In early September, there was a very serious car accident in Wales. The driver fell asleep while driving and crashed into a large tree by the roadside."
Charles understood and said regretfully, "The tree was innocent. It would have been better if it had fallen into the river."
Eleanor covered her mouth and laughed, then continued, "The Ministry of Magic is full of idiots. As long as you have a good excuse, bringing potions home for use is not a problem."
"With the Truth Serum, the police in many places have good relations with our family now. Some of our associates have been suffering from insomnia, and they've developed a resistance to sleeping pills. The Draught of Living Death can help them sleep soundly. Also, Comfrey Essence and Skele-gro, which can heal injuries, are very popular."
Charles understood. Even capitalists had their own social circles. If Eleanor's potions could help other business partners solve some problems, then over seven years, the nearly two million Pounds in donations could be recouped through several business collaborations, and such cooperation could continue in the future.
He asked Eleanor, "So you want me to get some medicinal ingredients from the Forbidden Forest? Like those feathers?"
"That's right," Eleanor nodded, a mischievous smile on her face. "Among the feathers you gave to Granger, the cheapest are the Silencing Bird feathers, which sell for 5 Galleons each in Diagon Alley. The rest combined are worth over 100 Galleons."
"I think you have a way to get more materials in the Forbidden Forest. How about we divide our responsibilities? You help me find the materials I need, and I'll pay you."
Charles thought for a moment and agreed to her proposal. "No problem. I'm currently cooperating with Hogwarts and Snape. You can give me a list of materials, and if I have what you need, I'll give it to you."
Eleanor said to him with a smile, "It's a deal. If you need any potions, you can come to me, or you can come here and make them yourself."
"Heh heh... The chance to be alone with me is something male students dream of."
Charles shrugged and said, "That's a real shame. I don't have that much time right now."
"You should know I've acquired a piece of land to grow some magical plants myself. I'm still struggling with how to plow it."
"That's easy," Eleanor said. "Wizards who enjoy gardening invented the Ground-loosening Charm. I can help you with that."
Charles scratched his head, a little embarrassed, and said, "That piece of land isn't small. It's too much work."
Eleanor just smiled, saying nothing.
What happened next was speechless.
Charles and Eleanor went to the side of the land. As soon as Eleanor had loosened the soil for less than a square meter, a group of older male students jumped out and eagerly helped to clear the entire plot of land. Eleanor didn't say a word during this time, only smiling.
