Treatment Process Was a Success
It was deep into the night, and St. Mungo's Hospital had fallen into a rare moment of peace.
The patients in the Janus Thickey Ward had all gone to sleep, and the healer on duty had also slacked off and drifted into dreamland.
The healer was roused awake by someone, and after rubbing her bleary eyes, she saw that the person standing before her was actually Dumbledore. She panicked a little, and panicked even more when she saw the hospital director behind him.
Dumbledore said kindly to the healer, "Sorry for the trouble, but could you help take Mr. and Mrs. Lumbardon to the treatment room?"
The director, however, looked far less kindly. Though he said nothing, everything from his expression to his eyes conveyed the words: "Pay cut."
The healer briskly took the two patients to the treatment room beside the ward. She wanted to stay and see how Dumbledore treated people, but had no choice but to leave with the director and wait in the corridor.
Dumbledore had Mr. and Mrs. Lumbardon lie down on the beds. They soon fell back into a deep sleep, and he took out the blood-red Philosopher's Stone and handed it to Angelina.
Angelina transformed back into her Veela form. As she accepted the Philosopher's Stone, she said to Dumbledore, "You'd better tie them down so they don't move around."
Then she held the Philosopher's Stone in both hands and began chanting a strange incantation. Charles saw Dumbledore's expression turn solemn; he probably couldn't understand the language either.
The Philosopher's Stone rose slightly from Angelina's hands and emitted a cloud of red light mist that continuously swirled around it.
