Background / History

Ma Zhaodi arrives in Gotham with little money and initially tries to find a way to support himself. He encounters an armed robber on his first night in the city, where his System-provided Rapid Life Recovery and Save Point are already available as emergency safeguards. He identifies himself as Chinese and later explains that he is a university graduate, though he does not consider his education proof of practical competence. 3 4 13

After telling a story about a childhood encounter with a Santa Claus-like figure, he restores Camilla’s hair and health. Drake Lane subsequently helps him find work as a waiter in Gotham, despite warning him about the city’s criminal environment. 6

While living in Gotham, Ma develops a reputation as the Deranged Wheelchair Vigilante and operates under masked identities such as Pumpkin Head.
