Lin Bai hunted powerful demonic beasts, survived the battle at Severing Sky Cliff, and won the Sword Dao Institute assessment. After returning, he killed Liu Tian and defeated Yuan Qing, while Dugu Yun exposed their plot and questioned whether Murong Hai was behind it.

• Lin Bai killed the Red Fang Serpent King and Spider Queen, then slew Jia Biao and eleven advanced-group martial artists who had attacked the Black Hide Boar.
• Black Hide Boar told Lin Bai that the Three-Headed Fire Crow had gathered powerful beasts at Severing Sky Cliff, where nearly five thousand Sword Dao Institute disciples clashed with the monsters.
• Lin Bai fought Long Qingfeng and then faced Crown Prince Long Lie, while the Three-Headed Fire Crow attacked the disciples, and Lin Bai killed the bird and later beheaded Long Lie with the Great Barren Art.

• Dugu Yun disciplined Yuan Qing, warned Lin Bai about Murong Hai, and gave him points to cultivate the Mo Wen Sword’s second technique.
• Lin Bai chose the dangerous Nine Revolution Sword Step and entered Martial Intent Mountain, where he battled Spirit Puppets and advanced his sword intent.
• Lin Bai rescued Lin Ling’s group with Sweep of a Thousand Armies, then joined Ruan Jinhui’s alliance at the Coral Barren Sea.

Lin Bai survived a deadly struggle for the Ascension Token, entered the Blazing Sun Celestial Palace, and gained Ninth-Order Martial Intent before avenging his allies. He then traveled to the Primordial Wilds, where he clashed with Diao Yiran’s circle, hunted the Undying Stone Demon, and set out for the Earth-Core Fire Lotus.

• Lin Bai and Jian Ruohan fought Hua Jingcheng and Ning Yunlong, but the Alliance warriors sacrificed themselves to help them escape, and Lin Bai advanced to sixth-stage Martial Intent with Jian Ruohan’s spirit crystals.
• Lin Bai obtained the Ascension Token from a Spirit Puppet, drew the top academy experts into pursuit, and reached the Blazing Sun Celestial Palace as the Ascension Bridge saved him from Zhu Kun’s attack.
• The Fisherman taught Lin Bai about the Dao, and eating the fish raised his Martial Intent to Ninth-Order perfection before he left the palace.

Lin Bai fought off the hunters sent to capture him, then defeated the Demon Race leaders who joined the battle and advanced to the ninth level of the Human Core Realm. After returning to War Soul City to claim his rewards, he bought Python Dragon Transformation and Eternal Sand at the Black Market auction.

• Lin Bai found the Earth-Core Fire Lotus, but after Ye Suxin fought him for it, he gave it to her when he learned she needed it for her unborn child.
• Lin Bai killed Sui Zirui and numerous Hunter's List experts who came to capture him, then reached the eighth level of the Human Core Realm by refining Gu Hao's demon blood.
• When Wu Qing and the other hunters attacked Lin Bai while he was weakened, Ye Suxin and Hong Su defended him, and Lin Bai recovered enough strength to kill the attackers in the valley.
