Lin Bai entered the Demon Sect Inheritance Palace, learned the Heaven Splitting Sword Method, and later pursued the pirates who had taken Bao'er and Hu Xin'er. On Turtle Island, he killed Ghost King and Ghost Shadow, while the Blood God Robe’s power awakened Hu Xin’er’s pinnacle-realm strength.

• Lin Bai entered the Inheritance Palace, chose the Heaven Splitting Sword Method from the Yuanmo Sutra, and left with his cultivation and Crimson Moon Nine Tribulation Body strengthened.
• After Lin Bai returned to Dragon Breeding Island, a black-clad martial artist kidnapped Bao'er and Hu Xin'er, demanding the cultivation method in exchange for them.
• Lin Bai followed the kidnapper to the Storm Sea Region, learned the Ten Pirate Ships were gathered near Turtle Island, and fought his way toward the island to find Bao'er and Hu Xin'er.

Lin Bai left Turtle Island, helped the outer disciples defeat the pirates, and joined the Quasi-Holy Son selection with Lan Yuxin’s recommendation. In the Celestial Abode Realm, he protected Lan Clan disciples from the Gu Family and ended the stretch locked in a fierce fight with Ji Yun.

• Hu Xin'er unleashed the Blood God Robe’s power on Turtle Island, then warned Lin Bai that Apex Realm experts were approaching before the Ancient Divine Turtle emerged and attached itself to Bao'er.
• The turtle warned Hu Xin'er that the robe would drain her life within three months, then insisted on following Bao'er as her prospective disciple.
• Lin Bai helped the outer disciples at Tiger Island by splitting the Mystic Mist Formation with one sword, allowing them to defeat the pirates.
• Lan Yuxin gave Lin Bai a recommendation for the Quasi-Holy Son selection, and Lin Bai accepted after she left, despite an attempt by Lan Xinghe and Lan Zhaoqing to frame him and seize the token.

Lin Bai won the Quasi-Holy Son selection, advanced his cultivation, and secured Wen Jia’s place beside Fang Yiyun. After attackers targeted Bao'er, Lin Bai blamed Li Jiuge and stormed Myriad Stars Island, where he forced his way into Li Jiuge’s courtyard.

• Lin Bai defeated Qin Tang and Gu Jianfeng in succession, crippled Gu Jianfeng, and later defeated Wang Qing on the Divine Peak, becoming the Southern Courtyard’s Quasi-Holy Son.
• Lin Bai reached the ninth level of the Life Extinction Realm and the fourth layer of the Crimson Moon Nine Tribulation Body, then returned to Dragon Breeding Island and practiced with the Heaven Measuring Ruler and Demon Sword.

After the attacks on his friends and family, Lin Bai traced the plot to Gu Lingqi and stormed the Gu Family, killing Gu Lingqi and defeating its challengers. Gu Daozhi moved to kill Lin Bai, but Lan Ling intervened with the Heaven Sealing Art.

• Lin Bai let Old Turtle take Bao'er to Southern Province for safety, then learned from A Ning and Yin Jiuling that the Gu Family had targeted his allies.
• Lin Bai challenged the Eastern Courtyard’s Quasi-Holy Sons and killed Old Man Liang, Ma Qiankun, Wu Dao, Liu Yunhe, Zhou Shaoxuan, Situ Yuntian, Zhao Kun, and Mo Baihe.
• Lin Bai carried the Battle Standard Banner to the Gu Family Archipelago and challenged Gu Lingqi in the Martial Arts Arena.
