Lin Bai prepared to face Giant God Gou Yu, using the White Jade Palace’s treasures and his own techniques in a battle that left him gravely wounded. Xuantong took control of Lin Bai’s body and fought Gou Yu, who gathered his remaining strength for one final sword as Xuantong prepared to answer.

• Lin Bai inherited Liao Lu’s White Jade Palace, refined Dao Fruits, advanced his Five Elements Dao Body, forged the Netherworld Flying Sword, and prepared weapons and traps for Gou Yu.
• Gou Yu killed Liao Lu and pursued Lin Bai into the Celestial God Tomb, where Lin Bai accepted his challenge at Nine Cloud Mountain.
• Lin Bai used the Black and White Chessboard to wound Gou Yu, but Gou Yu healed quickly and battered Lin Bai through the mountains.
• Lin Bai struck Gou Yu with the Dawn Break Siege Engines and Golden Armor Beetles, but Gou Yu’s armor and bronze sword let him destroy Lin Bai’s weapons and devastate Demon God Ridge.
• As Gou Yu tried to trace Lin Bai’s ties to his loved ones, Lin Bai awakened the Devouring Sword Soul, and Xuantong took control of his body after promising to protect them and kill Gou Yu.
• Xuantong revealed that destroying the Dao Heart Ring had freed him to suppress Lin Bai’s consciousness, then fought Gou Yu with the Demon Sword and three flying swords.
• Gou Yu gathered his remaining strength into Heaven Breaker, while Xuantong stood unmoved and named his answering sword Sever the Roots.

While Lin Bai’s consciousness remained trapped within him, Xuantong searched the Celestial God Tomb for a treasure that could cross the void and conquered its major powers. Yin Jiuling, Zhao Yue, Jian Ruohan, and the crow raced to Tianyi City to form an alliance against him.

• After the Giant God died and his blood spawned Blood Demons, Xuantong left Silver Moon City while the crow took the Giant God’s treasures and concluded that Lin Bai was as good as dead.
• Yin Jiuling, Jian Ruohan, and Zhao Yue learned from the crow that Lin Bai had released Xuantong and that the Demon Flower would consume Lin Bai’s consciousness within three months.
• Prince Mu brought Xuantong to Lingxiao City, where Xuantong killed Emperor Ling with Mu Yu’s help and took the throne.
• Xuantong ordered Lingxiao City to search for a void-crossing treasure and attack Myriad Evil City, then defeated its forces and made Qiu Litian kneel to him.
• After Myriad Evil City yielded no treasure, Xuantong sent Mu Yu to handle the Boundless Wasteland and led the Heaven Flipping Army to conquer Tianchi City and Great Snow Mountain.
• Xuantong’s campaigns subdued the Ghost Emperors, Dragon Burial Abyss, Demon God Ridge, and Silver Moon City, but he found no treasure and set his sights on Tianyi City.

Lin Bai escaped Profound Eye’s control, restored his authority in the Celestial God Tomb, and set out for the Barren Ancient Continent. As he traveled through the void, Qing Ying and the Flying Sword Immortal Sect began hunting the Heaven Swallowing Race remnant he had become.

• Zhao Yue reached Lin Bai inside his consciousness, but when he escaped Profound Eye’s seal, he lost control and attacked Tianyi City until the Crow’s Buddha Sharira drove Profound Eye back.
• Lin Bai returned to himself, took control of Xuan Tong’s Dao Seeds, and left Yin Jiuling, Jian Ruohan, and Zhao Yue to cultivate while he prepared to return to the Barren Ancient Continent.
• Mu Yu and allied experts tried to overthrow Lin Bai, but Lin Bai used Heart Demon Implantation to drain the attackers’ cultivation and then reorganized the Celestial God Tomb under loyal leaders.
• Lin Bai bought the Crow’s Void Piercing Sword Boat and Void Map, entrusted the tomb’s affairs to Yin Jiuling, Jian Ruohan, and Zhao Yue, and departed for Silver Moon City.
• Lin Bai confronted Tong Xiuyun and Seventh Sister over their betrayal of Pill Demon, and both died before Lin Bai left Silver Moon City.

• Lin Bai returned to the border battlefield, drove the Qilin Crown Prince’s army away, and led Zhuo Lian’s survivors toward Lingnan Imperial City.
• Lin Bai learned that foreign powers and Buddha’s Fate Temple monks had destabilized the Divine Martial Nation, then reunited with his family and Bai Xiaoxiao.
• Lin Bai exposed the monks’ harmful scripture and the officials supporting them, prompting Emperor Xiao to order the monks detained and punish the petition’s signatories.
• Lin Bai summoned the Northern and Southern Continent’s powers to court and set a deadline for them to surrender, while Loulan’s old king sought allies and aid from the Central Sacred Nation.
• Lin Bai reunited with his companions, promised to help Zhao Tiedan seek Holy Maiden Jiuci’s hand, and agreed to take his friends on the coming campaigns.
