The prince remained missing, and Lin Bai expected the Northern Region to try another scheme.

• Lin Bai, Chen Yule, and Yi Song wore Golden Masks and defeated Northern Region warriors across the Imperial Capital, while Dao Xuanzi helped them escape their pursuers.
• Emperor Chu secretly rewarded the three with Golden Masks, while Zhou Han challenged them to a fight at Moon Summit.
• Lin Bai and his companions followed Chao Yushi’s advice to ignore the challenge for the moment, then Huang Qingyun asked Lin Bai to help the Sacred Lotus Palace find the abducted Twenty-First Prince.

Lin Bai found the sword key to the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace’s treasure and negotiated a share with the imperial family and Tianshui Sect. After Yao Qian failed to pressure him into surrendering the key, Lin Bai followed him to Flower Fairy Garden, where the Goddess discovered they had been followed.

• Dao Child Yao Qian ordered the South Mountain Clan to stage another challenge, while the Goddess identified Lin Bai, Chen Yule, and Yi Song as the masked martial artists who had foiled the Demon Palace’s plans.
• Lin Bai and the Crow searched the Twenty-First Prince’s belongings, found a clue in his snow-scene painting, and went to Bright Moon Pavilion’s Wind and Snow Palace.
• Lin Bai questioned Lady Yuewu about the prince and learned that he had given her a sword, then accompanied her to his secret residence to retrieve it.

As Lin Bai’s meeting with Qingyue angered Emperor Chu, the Northern Region’s challenge at Moon Peak Pavilion escalated into a fight between Zhou Han and the Eastern Domain’s masked warriors.

• Lin Bai infiltrated Flower Fairy Garden, defeated Chu Qin and Yao Qian, and let Yao Qian escape after he took Li Guxian and He Qiyun hostage.
• Li Guxian told Lin Bai where the Twenty-First Prince was being held, and Lin Bai and Zhu Mo found and freed him at No. 98 in Nine-Tail Alley.
• Lin Bai told Prince Chen that Li Guxian might be connected to the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace, then explained that he intended to withdraw from Chu’s power struggles and travel to the Tianquan Great World.

After Chen Yule killed Zhou Han, Lin Bai navigated rising tensions and the Southern Border Insect Valley’s arrival while seeking Xia Jingzhi, whom he suspected the Third Prince was hiding. Lin Bai eventually focused his search on the valley’s guest residence and entered with the Crow investigating inside.

• Chen Yule killed Zhou Han, and Lin Bai blocked a South Mountain Clan elder before leaving Moon Peak Pavilion with Chen Yule and Yi Song.
• Lin Bai and the other young leaders formed an alliance against threats to the Eastern Region, while Chao Yushi warned that Zhou Han’s death could worsen tensions with the Northern Region.
• Lin Bai met Southern Border Insect Valley’s delegation and learned that it sought Xia Jingzhi, whom the Third Prince had protected after he stole the valley’s God-Devil Calamity Poison.
