Southern Border Insect Valley carried the wounded Xia toward the Imperial Capital while Lin Bai, poisoned and held back by Rong Yunxin, continued the pursuit.

• Lin Bai assembled the Tianshui Sect and Heavenly Guard Battalion forces at Star Plucking Mountain and concealed them while waiting for Xia Jingzhi.
• Xia Jingzhi arrived with his companions, but Lin Bai and Tu Yue attacked and surrounded him as Ancestor Pan Qing fought the hidden Grand Luo martial artist.
• Xia Jingzhi’s spies disrupted the assault, but Lin Bai’s forces captured them and trapped Xia inside a barrier while Sun Moon Pavilion reinforcements gathered outside.

Xia Jingzhi entered Purgatory for interrogation, but Lin Bai’s revealed Supreme Avatar drew the attention of powerful Demon Realm forces as he recovered and awaited the Zhao Xing Office’s findings.

• Lin Bai defeated Rong Yunxin, took the Five Vices Bottle, then fought the Southern Border Insect Valley Ancestor and freed Xia Jingzhi from the Golden Toad.
• Lin Bai’s allies held off the Li, Zhao, and Sun families and other forces as he carried Xia Jingzhi toward the Imperial Capital, where the Two Moons of the Sun Moon Pavilion trapped and badly wounded him.
• Huang Qingyun arrived to cover Lin Bai’s escape, but the White-Robed Man and Black-Robed Man continued to attack him outside the Imperial Capital.

With the Chu Emperor’s birthday celebration near, Prince Chen prepared to expose Xia Jingzhi’s confession while the Seven Nights Divine Sect and Ten Thousand Saints Mountain pursued their own interests in Lin Bai.

• Prince Chen offered Lin Bai protection and a temporary place in Chu, but Lin Bai left to consider the proposal and warned that the princes’ rivalry could lead to civil war.
