The Preaching Squad defeated Shiva’s possession of Zhen Yuanzi’s remains and moved on to White Tiger Ridge, where separate trials confronted its members. Ao Lie overcame the emotionless Bone Dragon and cleared his trial first, then flew ahead to help Tang Sanzang.

• Tang Sanzang buried Mount Longevity and gained insight into the Burial Spirit Scripture, while Sun Wukong guided the Preaching Squad out of Zhen Yuanzi’s chaotic Universe in the Sleeve.
• Sha Wujin extracted Zhen Yuanzi’s essence from the corpse, and the Preaching Squad protected him as he weakened Shiva’s control, and Sun Wukong then entered the Great Sage Equaling Heaven future and drove Shiva from the mythology.
• Zhen Yuanzi restored the Ginseng Fruit Tree, celebrated with the Preaching Squad, and evolved Universe in the Sleeve into Heaven and Earth in the Sleeve after hearing their scriptures.
• At White Tiger Ridge, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujin fought Lu Wu and the Enlightened Beast, while Sun Wukong faced Bai Jingjing, who entered his heart to search for Zixia.
• Sun Wukong discovered that Zixia had vanished into a parallel world of his heart and entered it to break the tribulation, while Tang Sanzang and Ao Lie continued across the ridge.
• An emotionless old woman attacked Ao Lie with a bone dragon, and Ao Lie fought it alone as Tang Sanzang continued onward and encountered an old man whom his Funeral Great Dao could not bury.
• Ao Lie transformed himself into a Bone Dragon and then summoned Yinglong with seven Dragon Balls, wishing for Anavatapta to witness a true dragon’s power rather than asking for his own recovery.
• Yinglong restored Anavatapta’s dragonhood, and Yellow Dragon True Person transformed him into a Netherworld Bone Dragon and sent him to the Underworld, and Ao Lie cleared the trial first and flew on to help Tang Sanzang.

Tang Sanzang completed his burial trial and helped Sun Wukong navigate a parallel world to save Bai Jingjing and Violet Fairy. After the squad received the fluffies’ blessings, they entered Black Pine Forest, where Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujin confronted its darkness while Tang Sanzang accepted a mission to rescue Princess Baihuaxiu.

• Tang Sanzang used the Heaven-Suppressing Coffin to overcome Chaos Withered Bone, bury him, and complete his trial with Ao Lie.
• Amitabha Buddha pulled Tang Sanzang and Ao Lie into the Love-Crazed Great Sage parallel world, where they watched Sun Wukong struggle to save Bai Jingjing and Violet Fairy.
• Sun Wukong’s avatar helped Lady Shi Ji rescue Bai Jingjing, and Sun Wukong then defied the parallel world’s Heavenly Dao to save Violet Fairy.
• Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, and Ao Lie returned to White Tiger Ridge as the Enlightened Beast and Lu Wu merged into the White Tiger Saint Beast, whose blessings empowered the Preaching Squad.

The Preaching Squad defeated the Cleaners, settled Bai Huaxiu and the Yellow-Robed Monster’s marriage, and welcomed Daji into their affairs. As new trials began, Gold Horn and Silver Horn rebuilt Lotus Cave while Daji lured Ao Lie into a love illusion.

• Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujin discovered that the Cleaners tracked energy noise and karmic disturbances, then combined their abilities to destroy them and restore sunlight to Black Pine Forest.
• Tang Sanzang’s Funeral Great Dao made the Treasure Elephant Kingdom see the Yellow-Robed Monster’s family vanish, prompting the king and court to plead for mercy before Tang Sanzang ended the illusion.
• Sun Wukong found Daji on Mount Tu, defeated the fox demons’ tests and the Black Fox, and persuaded her to officiate the Yellow-Robed Monster and Bai Huaxiu’s wedding.
• Daji reunited the couple, whose marriage restored Bai Huaxiu’s memories and ended their resentment, while Yellow-Robed Monster and Bai Huaxiu later set out for the Tang Empire as envoys.
• Supreme Pure Laozi sent Gold and Silver and Daji to Blue Planet to create hardships for the Preaching Squad, and Gold Horn and Silver Horn rebuilt Lotus Cave as a Ten-View Lotus Cave.
• Daji entered Dragon-Pressing Cave and prepared a Love Tribulation Illusion for Ao Lie, while Gold Horn and Silver Horn lured Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujin into the Ten Views Diagram.

The Preaching Squad endured Lotus Cave’s ten wonders, while Ao Lie and Daji overcame their trials and Gold Horn and Silver Horn revealed their origins. The group then reached Crow-Cock Kingdom, revived its murdered king, and left the people to decide which claimant was real.

• Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujin, and Sun Wukong broke through the landscapes of Lotus Cave, and Sun Wukong awakened his Chaos Demon Ape nature to help them survive Primordial Chaos.
• Tang Sanzang combined Zhu Bajie’s Dao Treasuries and Sha Wujin’s Eight Scenes to bury Chaos, then used Primordial Chaos Creation Pills to help the squad recover and break through their bottlenecks.
• Ao Lie shattered Daji’s illusion with his Phantom Dream-Charming Dragon, while Daji broke through to become a Ten-Tailed Fox and Myriad Saints Princess dissolved the trial’s final illusion.
• The Preaching Squad comprehended the three colliding horns in Lotus Cave’s tenth wonder, and Gold Horn and Silver Horn fused into one being before Supreme Pure Laozi ended the trial.
• In Crow-Cock Kingdom, Tang Sanzang’s party learned that the Azure Lion Spirit had killed the real king and taken his throne, while the Well Dragon King retrieved the king’s preserved corpse.
• Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujin, Ao Lie, and Sun Wukong helped make a Nine-Turn Resurrection Pill, and Tang Sanzang used it to bring the real king back to life.
• The real king and the impostor disputed their identities before the court, and Tang Sanzang deferred the decision to the people of Crow-Cock Kingdom.
