Roy spoke gently. His voice was confident and steady, inspiring immense confidence and security and making people believe his words without realizing it.
As Roy had mastered Face of God, this authority had nearly become an instinct. Even gods could no longer detect the influence of the authority in his words. At this point, Face of God was less Roy's authority than his very bearing—a bearing that could make anyone believe and trust him.
Roy's words were sincere. After Athena told him that, because of the Holy Grail, Aphrodite could not harbor any thoughts of resisting him and would obey his orders absolutely, his instincts as a man had indeed given him some ideas.
Facing the most beautiful goddess, any normal man who had no desire to spend the night with her could only have lost his function—or be deceiving himself. Roy, however, was not someone who would let desire control him completely. He could still distinguish what was more urgent.
Compared with enjoying a goddess's body, the Last King, his greatest enemy, was what Roy needed to focus on now. If he could not overcome this hurdle, he would have no future. Indulging himself before death was not something Roy would do. He would devote all his time and energy to searching for even the slightest possibility of increasing his chances of victory by one percent.
Without even this capacity, Roy would be nothing more than an ordinary man.
