Roy crouched down and looked at Laura's face, which was covered in crisscrossing bloody scars and had almost been disfigured.

Because those two spells had temporarily lost their effectiveness, Laura's diffused will had grown dramatically, allowing her to create Q Demon.

And because she had now lost the personality of "Laura Crowley," she had attacked Roy of her own accord.

Otherwise, if her physical-body personality had still been present, Laura could never have attacked Roy voluntarily. Her body would have resisted her soul and will.
