There was another reason Bai Chen had called the sisters Xuanming and Houtu over to work: the Ancestral Witches possessed Great God Pangu's Law Power and Heaven-Opening Merit Power.
This was Buzhou Mountain. Using the power the Ancestral Witches had inherited from Great God Pangu to deal with the Secret Realm's restriction on Buzhou Mountain couldn't have been more appropriate.
One had to wonder why none of the great powers of the later Primordial World could destroy Buzhou Mountain, while Ancestral Witch Gonggong could smash it apart.
The fundamental reason was that Ancestral Witch Gonggong possessed Great God Pangu's bloodline and had inherited part of Great God Pangu's power and merit.
Throughout the entire Primordial World, apart from the Twelve Ancestor Witches, only the Three Pure Ones, who were also of Pangu's lineage, could destroy Buzhou Mountain.
Aside from them, even Dao-Proving great powers who possessed the Primordial Unity Dao Fruit, or the Heavenly Dao that revived in later ages, couldn't destroy Buzhou Mountain.

Unfortunately, although those secrets could lead to Dao Proving, Bai Chen himself couldn't use them.
The situation was like Bai Chen knowing the answers to the imperial examination but not having an admission token.
He could only sell those answers to the predetermined top scholars who possessed admission tokens.
Even if those people knew Bai Chen was selling the answers, because his customers were the predetermined top scholars, the existence above would turn a blind eye after learning of it.
After all, the top scholar had already been chosen. As long as it was that person, what happened during the process didn't matter.
"Little White, is that really true?"
Upon hearing that the secret concerned Dao Proving, even Houtu became excited.
Although Houtu had a mild temperament, as a Pangu Descendant, she also yearned for Dao Proving in her heart.

Bai Chen also guessed the Divine Vine's true identity at this point: the Innate Spiritual Root—the Innate Gourd Vine.
The very Innate Gourd Vine that had never transformed and planned to prove the Dao directly.
The very Innate Gourd Vine that had failed to prove the Dao, consequently perished, and had its gourds divided up and plucked by Nuwa, the Three Pure Ones, and others.

Innate Spirit Treasures were formed when the divine weapons of the Chaos Demon Gods shattered.
Innate Spiritual Roots were Chaos Demon Gods who had been beaten back into their original bodies. It could be said that every Innate Spiritual Root was formed from the original body of a Chaos Demon God.
As for Innate Fierce Beasts, they were formed from the shattered bodies of the Chaos Demon Gods.
