William entered the Abyssal Skin Factory disguised as the Skin Apostle Leslie Lovecod and discovered that the factory had largely shut down while its director and apostles hibernated in ancient blood. He recognized the blood therapist Enwei as the Seven Marquis, Envy, leaving him inside the Inner Sac with his identity still concealed.
William infiltrated the Abyssal Skin Factory disguised as a returning apostle, discovered its residents were in deep hibernation, and escaped after Enwei tried to hypnotize him. He left Enwei searching for the identity of the vanished intruder and headed home to prepare the scene.
Marquis Enwei reported an intruder at the Abyssal Skin Factory to the four surviving Marquises, who debated whether the visitor was connected to the circus or to humans. Emperor Pride ordered them to prepare for the circus and stand ready to defend the lord’s inner chamber.
After a month of preparation, Lorien awakened with chaos taking shape in his body, while he and Regan discussed William’s troubling changes. William then organized a performance against the bloodfolk, but Lorien declined to join and agreed to fetch Mr. Yi as William prepared to involve Ate and Catherine.
A Bloodfolk Countess discovered a strange circus tent near the Skin Factory, alarming the nobles gathered at Emerald Manor. Meanwhile, Zede became the Acrobatic Troupe’s Fourth Troupe Leader, and word of the new circus prompted him and Jaen to react.
The blood nobles tried to learn about the circus, but its balloon workers proved impossible to capture or interrogate. Baron Grot entered the tent and returned transformed, delivering his teacher’s invitation before exploding and leaving Enwei facing an unknown threat.
Marquis Enwei reported the circus’s strange tent to Emperor Pride, who decided its threat could not be ignored. After Emperor Pride sliced through the tent and nearby mountains, the tent reappeared elsewhere, still empty.
Emperor Pride ordered his forces to observe the strange Circus Tent for a day rather than attack, while William and Ate prepared for their performance inside it. William revealed that another version of himself, Mr. Yi, might come to confront Emperor Pride, and sensed that his formidable teacher was approaching.
William brought Zede to his theater to prepare for the Blood People’s attack and arrange Zede’s unfinished fight with Graton. Catherine warned Zede that William had been acting strangely, and the group went to meet Yate.
Yate met Zede in the theater and tested his strength, but Zede burst Yate’s swollen arm with a sudden force. After hearing William’s plan to draw in the blood people, Zede questioned whether they would come, and William insisted they eventually would.
Marquis Enwei discovered the circus was secretly raising the Connective Mountains, and Emperor Pride led the bloodfolk into the tent after it connected to the Emerald Manor. As the circus watched their arrival, Yate explained that Emperor Pride had refined the people he once cultivated differently into the powerful sword he carried.
Emperor Pride led the Blood People into a forged abyss to confront the Fear Circus, after confirming that the First Abyss was not present. The two sides met in the arena as the Blood People prepared to fight, while the golden statue above the tent began to open.
Five months earlier, William recruited At to help him target the Blood People and reach the Blood Sovereign’s hidden remains, proposing they create a child combining At’s control of Malignant Tumor with William’s Abyssal vitality. As the Blood People entered the circus, their plan produced a rapidly grown clone of At, who used its inverted body to conceal its aura and infiltrate the Skin Factory.
William staged a theater beneath the abyss to negotiate with Emperor Pride and the blood nobles, offering to help seize the Skin Factory and later proposing a five-battle wager. The chapter ended as William laid out the stakes and prepared his team to face the blood people.
Lorien reached the Monastery of Suffering and watched Yi Chen use the parasite Nash to absorb the heavenly iron chain. Yi Chen agreed to stay at the monastery as an executioner rather than leave Nash behind, then hurried off to investigate William and Yate’s new theater.
William negotiated a contest with the Blood Nobles, wagering their support in making him Factory Director if his side won. After the Soul Contract was signed, he assigned the first fighters, and Catherine and Regan entered the arena against two Blood People.
William and the others faced an unknown Bloodkin prisoner, Count Baal Montoya, in the opening match against Lust Nast. Catherine hypnotized Nast with her Siren’s Song, but the match took an unexpected turn when Nast’s sleeping body awakened Catherine’s desire and the flower platform enclosed them both.
Catherine and Lust disappeared into Lust’s domain, leaving Regan to face Count Baal Montoya alone. Regan revealed his hidden defenses and Miss Fei, then defeated Baal with a piercing strike and a massive electrical discharge.
The chapter explained the Neisseria Ones’ history and their Mechanical Ascension project, which centered on Regan as their first candidate. When Regan’s Synchronization Statue was damaged and his location became difficult to trace, the Neisseria Ones sent a group toward the tannery.
Regan faced the Blood Prisoner, whose restraints broke and revealed Count Baal Montoya's true form, Blood Boil. As Baal's rage made him faster and stronger, Regan's psychic attack failed to stop him, and Baal sliced away half of Regan's head.
Regan’s brain was sliced open and his biological tissue destroyed, but the Neisseria Brainers and Miss Fei helped awaken a new power within him. He rose with the Spine Spear and faced Count Baal, poised to resume their duel.

Regan ascended after his brain was severed and his flesh erased, using his new digital perception and electrical powers to defeat Blood Boil. Count Baal. With the first duel unexpectedly won, William left the next match to Atte and his teacher.
Regan left the arena to escort the Old Ones to safety, while Ater and Zede entered to face Graton and Marquis Enwei. After Enwei's envy erupted at Regan's new brain, Pride cut him apart, and Enwei recovered, parasitized Graton, and sealed Zede in a Blood Coffin as the match began.
Atre survived a combined assault by Graton and Marquis Enwei, then deliberately forfeited the match to buy their child more time and preserve his strength. He sent an arm to Mr. Zede and returned to the audience, leaving Zede to continue the performance.
