Zede survived his duel with Graton and Enwei before Yi Chen arrived to challenge Emperor Pride and revealed the depths of his deathly power. As Art pursued the Blood Lord’s qualification and William set his final plan in motion, William and Yi Chen confronted Yate, who completed his transformation into Tumor and Heaven.

• Zede defeated Graton in the gray domain, then grafted Ater’s Clown Arm and fought Enwei until Graton swallowed him to destroy the spreading tumors and save his life.
• William prepared to face Emperor Pride, but Yi Chen arrived and took his place, using the monastery’s chain to forge a blade from Nash and the dead bound to it.
• Yi Chen descended into the Sea of Death, gathered the dead into himself, and beheaded Emperor Pride, who emerged from his skin as the First Crimson Red and drove Yi Chen into subspace.
• William and Art began their plan at the Skin Factory while Zede agreed to seek talks on humanity’s behalf and Graton carried him away from the collapsing circus.
• Art infiltrated the Blood Coffin, spread Malignant Tumor across the Blood Lord’s remains, and reached the Origin Gene, but the Focus of Infection Center expelled him before he could complete its transcription.
• Emperor Pride rushed toward the Skin Factory as Art seized the qualification, and William pulled Yi Chen from subspace before revealing his plan to leave the Plague World for the New World.
• William confronted Yate in a storybook domain on the Prime Material Plane, where Yi Chen emerged from William’s body and cut Yate in two before Yate healed and retaliated with tumors.
• William’s Abyss Affliction neutralized Yate’s cancer, but Yate performed his Internal Pilgrimage and transformed the city and its tumor balloons to gold before declaring he had achieved Tumor and Heaven.

William completed his ascension, left the circus, and secretly reached the Prime Material Plane, while Yi Chen earned passage there and learned his original world had been destroyed. After finding a clue that William might be active in Simulated World 1910, Yi Chen and Lorien entered it with Jin and Regan.

• William inverted Att’s malignant city, and Yi Chen helped him defeat Atet before William took Atet into the Tenth Abyss and absorbed him to complete his ascension.
• William turned his theater into a movable Source Plague Zone and left the circus with Catherine, while Yi Chen stayed behind and received William’s reward.
• The Lung Venerable and his puppets crossed into a world being drained by a swollen, pus-filled world, as Zion grew into the City of Ascension and divine visitors arrived to recruit Sick Ones.
• Yi Chen defeated four Incarnation Carriers and earned four Tokens of Soldier, then learned from Jin Hao Hua that his original world had been destroyed after a high-level Video Tape Carrier spread through it.
• Yi Chen and Lorien reached the City of Husks, met Tutankhamun, and learned that malignancy could destroy the Prime Material Plane and bring down the gods within forty-seven years.
• Yi Chen and Lorien investigated William’s possible contact with evil, and Yi Chen found a hidden note marked 1910 after a Celestial Venerable avatar described malignancy spreading across the planes.
• Yi Chen and Lorien received permission to investigate Simulated World 1910, recruited Jin and Regan, and entered through a Plane Door.
• The four arrived at a nighttime bus stop, boarded an empty bus, and heard a black-clad old woman offer to tell them a story.

Yi Chen and his companions survived a malicious world, escaped a hotel trap, and became Quasi-Gods with access to the gods’ library. Yi Chen claimed a Calamity Item, the Hanging Rope, and prepared to explore the Dead Sea as his companions pursued their own paths.

• Yi Chen’s group found William’s Video Tape in the New Trade Mall, and William asked Yi Chen to bring it on future missions.
• Jin killed the hostel Boss, but his land passed to a new owner and raised the world’s malice, and the Rain Man later trapped Yi Chen’s group in a looping hotel.
• The group escaped the hotel through a public phone, and Yi Chen recognized the Manager as a powerful evil before reporting the encounter to Golden Lung Heavenly Venerable.
• The gods accepted the recruits’ account, promoted Yi Chen, Jin, Lorien, and Regan to Quasi-Gods, and granted them access to the Treasury of the Gods.
• Yi Chen and Jin entered the hidden library, where Yi Chen broke the seal and found a book containing a Calamity Item, while Jin chose the White Pagoda book linked to Buddha Migua.
• Yi Chen learned that the library administrator was Hou Qing and asked William to meet him in person, and William explained his interest in the Simulated World and his ambition to erase all evil.
• Yi Chen collected the Hanging Rope in Experimental Zone Eleven and used it to reach the Gallows Platform, then returned with a skeletal compass and a medieval galleon.
• Yi Chen lent William to Jin for her visit to an evil god’s lair, while Regan entered a deep sleep, Lorien began secret self-modification, and Golden Lung Heavenly Venerable advanced the plan for the disease-focus world.
