Yi Chen and his companions entered the Tomie phenomenon, where Liu Xinzhi transformed amid a deadly beauty contest and Jin became Tomie’s chosen vessel. The arc ended with Yi Chen challenging Jin to fight alone as William prepared a larger venue.

• Yi Chen sank into the Sea of Death, returned to the flooded hotel, and learned that Jin had been missing for three months and was under investigation for Mifuo’s death.
• Yi Chen reunited with Jin, recovered William’s Video Tape from a tumor in her abdomen, and chose the Tomie phenomenon while Lorien selected the Killing Nightmare mission.
• Yi Chen entered the Tomie phenomenon alone, inhabited a dead vagrant, and met Liu Xinzhi, who had begun transforming into Tomie after cutting off a finger.
• Yi Chen tested Liu Xinzhi’s regeneration and watched her fight other Tomies and a cinema monster before they boarded the Dreamliner with Mu.

After defeating Tomie, Yi Chen inherited the Strangled King’s deathly state and joined an expedition to the Seven-Layered Heaven, where he encountered the imprisoned Calamity and lost his arm before Lainey recreated it. The arc ended with Yi Chen, Regan, and Lainey investigating a spreading Moon Worship phenomenon while William headed for the evil’s headquarters.

• Jin challenged Yi Chen with the White Tower Sword’s phenomenon, trapping him in an imagined family life that ended in murder and memories of his childhood.
• Yi Chen and Liu Xinzhi fought Jin through death, then hanged themselves and descended to the pitch-black beach, after Liu Xinzhi died, Yi Chen burned her body and made a bone ring to summon her ghost.
• The gods confirmed Tomie’s eradication, and Yi Chen met the Plague Focal World team before agreeing to explore the imprisoned Calamity at the Seven-Layered Heaven.
• Yi Chen entered the temple of the Strangled King, recognized the king’s corpse as the missing Hanging Rope, and inherited the King’s State of Mind through his contemplation of death.
• Yi Chen joined the expedition to the Seven-Layered Heaven, where Jin Hao Hua led the group into the Great Hell and ordered them to forget everything before approaching the Calamity.

Yi Chen survived the Tenth Calamity’s horror-film set, then agreed to return to the Film Crew and star in its sequel while training and preparing for the real White Skin Mask. After entering the City of Evil and encountering the neutral Eighth Calamity underground, he learned that Miles’s Mask was guarded deep inside the Film Crew.

• Yi Chen fought Miles through the Film Crew’s staged horror scenes, changed his role to Halloween’s Death God—Yi, and negotiated with Michael Carpenter, the Tenth Calamity, to return for the sequel.
• Yi Chen reunited with Lorien and Lainey, trained under the Golden Lung Heavenly Venerable, and entered the Film Crew’s production with Lainey as a forest witch and Lorien as a lighting technician.
• The Film Crew began filming Halloween Eve in the City of Evil, where Yi Chen rejected its human-body meals and rented old killer films from a Video Store.
• Yi Chen attacked Pig Man after he insulted him, and Miles supported Yi Chen as the director prepared to continue filming.

• William took Lorien from the Film Crew, but Yi Chen carried the unconscious Lorien into the hotel, where the manager’s rules kept the Eighth Calamity out.
• Yi Chen fought Miles through the final film shoot, killed him, and wore his mask before rejecting both Miles’s identity and the Tenth Calamity’s role.
• The Film Crew shared its power with Yi Chen, and he agreed to remain a member while seeking its support and platform.
• William told Yi Chen about the camera-wielding disaster and asked him to help investigate the Fourth Calamity after the movie premiere.
