Empress Nuwa reclined against a jade couch, her phoenix robe draping softly, her demeanor languid. Her right arm rested loosely upon her knee, fingertips tapping lightly as though keeping time. The Fairy Maidens standing at either side either held plain fans and slowly wafted the air, or struck Bianzhong bells, played jade zithers, and blew purple flutes. Immortal music, like an unceasing babbling stream, lingered back and forth between the palace walls.
She listened with closed eyes, her brows relaxed and the corners of her lips faintly lifted. Clearly, she was immersed in the crisp, resonant music.
Suddenly, Su Yang's voice pierced through the Three Realms, shaking the nine heavens and the Netherworld Underworld. Like thunder splitting the sky, it drove straight into the depths of Wa Huang Palace.
The melodious music abruptly stalled, and the pure calm filling the hall was violently torn open. Empress Nuwa's willow brows slightly furrowed, a trace of displeasure
