Within Zhao Guanlan’s public Cangming history, he was born into a happy, privileged life but rejected morality, laws, sect rules, and righteous conventions. He pursued strength without restraint, treating the gentle “Xuan Immortal” image as a hypocritical mask over what he called a “pure, evil soul.” 297

His pursuit of power allegedly included plundering extraordinary inheritances and borrowing lifespan on an enormous scale. After reaching a realm comparable to Sword Head Lin Qiubai and Demonic Son Zhang Kuang, he was punished by them; his immortal body was shattered, leaving only his head to cross a spatial barrier and reach Earth. 297 336
