While searching the Shadow World for the Reflection Organization, he was ambushed, learned his attackers belonged to it, and left a clone behind while heading away to avoid being detained.

• Li Xiuchang tested a ghost shadow's fusion with a captured demonic cultivator's yin soul, which became confused and began disintegrating before he sealed it in the Second Dantian world.

• Li Xiuchang interrogated Gui Wuyan’s shadow, then questioned the other three shadows to learn why he had been imprisoned.
• Gui Wuyan’s shadow explained that his true self’s erratic lifespan changes repeatedly brought him to the brink of death, driving him to desperate outbursts and earning him a place in prison.
