Battle Power 1,500! Raditz's Battle Power at the Start of Z
The overlord-class giant beast was killed in an instant, and Talot finally understood just how powerful the energy wave he unleashed at nearly full strength was! This scene thoroughly intimidated the giant beasts still hoping to compete for the Blood-colored Fruit.
Some of the giant beasts had been charging over, only to nearly fail to stop in time when the terrifying explosion erupted.
One lion-like giant beast had managed to stop, but a giant beast behind it crashed into it and knocked it to the ground. It tumbled to a stop not far from Talot.
Fear filled the Lion-Tiger Giant Beast's heart, making its fur stand on end. It hurriedly backed away, looking like a child desperately trying to hide after doing something wrong.
At the same time, fear spread among the giant beasts.
When temptation was great enough, it could indeed overcome fear.
But when fear became great enough, no temptation would remain appealing.
The intimidation had done its job. Talot stood in the air with his arms crossed, carrying himself like an invincible figure.
Whoever came closer would die!
Talot had never been soft-hearted! No, even if he was, it depended on the person.
Anyone who infringed upon his interests was picking a fight with him.
The strong preyed on the weak. This world had always been cruel! And so, time passed second by second.
Before long, Gine piloted the Spaceship back to Talot.
Following their original plan, they picked all the Blood-colored Fruit from the tree and placed them into the Spaceship one by one.
The Spaceship was not large to begin with, and stuffing twenty-four enormous fruits inside at once completely filled its already cramped interior.
Of course, that did not matter. Compared to a little less space, these fruits were far more valuable.
Besides, now that they were on this planet, they could come out and move around whenever they wanted. It was not like traveling through space, where they would be unable to move for long periods.
After all the fruit had been picked, Talot watched the entire fruit tree wither at a visible rate.
Just as Gine had said before.
The fruit tree existed to grow the fruit, serving as a bridge that absorbed and supplied nutrients.
But that was only on the surface. In Talot's view, the fruit also gave the fruit tree's existence meaning.
As long as the fruit continued to exist, the fruit tree could continue to exist as well.
"Once the fruit is picked, the fruit tree no longer has any reason to exist. Just like a person who has lost their value and is no longer needed." After leaving behind that reflective remark, Talot boarded the Spaceship again with Selari and Gine.
The giant beasts could only lie there and watch helplessly as Talot's group departed.
This bloody slaughter had come to an end for them as well.
Otherwise, they would have continued fighting over who got the Blood-colored Fruit.
Inside the Spaceship, Talot controlled it as it traveled at a steady, even speed.
They continued until they found another place better suited for landing.
It was a flat valley filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, with rivers, streams, and even a small waterfall.
If they had not seen it with their own eyes, it would have been hard to imagine that such a paradise existed within this primeval forest.
What surprised Talot's group the most was that there was also an enormous wooden house here.
It was very crude, but its structure was sturdy. Though it had long been covered in plants and its interior was filled with dust, showing that no one had lived there for many years, it had not decayed.
Without any surprise, it had likely been built by Aoyun Star People who had become lost here.
Otherwise, there would have been no need to build such a large wooden house.
Before this wooden house, Talot's group were like tiny animals.
"We've already checked the surrounding area. There's no danger, so let's settle here for now. We need a few days to rest and recover anyway, and we can absorb the Blood Fruit while we're at it."
Talot made the suggestion.
Gine did not object, and Selari certainly did not either.
In fact, ever since they had set out, Talot had constantly instilled in them the idea that whether they invaded or not was unimportant.
That subtle change had led both Gine and Selari to feel that they had not come here to invade and conquer this planet.
They took the Blood Fruit out of the Spaceship.
Under the sunlight, the fruits once again gave off a unique gleam.
There were twenty-four Blood Fruits in total, exactly eight for each of them.
Of course, they would have to see the effects first, as well as whether any one person had a limit.
Wanting to test it himself first, Talot instinctively did not intend to let Gine and Selari take the risk.
'Crunch~! Crunch~!'
Without his initial reservations, he bit into it. The flesh of the Blood-colored Fruit entered his mouth and turned into a cool sensation that flowed into his lungs and organs.
The first bite was sweet and refreshing, like eating a strawberry. The only difference was that this was far bigger than a strawberry.
The flavor lingered endlessly. Even after swallowing the flesh, a fresh fragrance remained in his mouth.
"This feeling? It's so magical." A cool sensation began spreading throughout his body, and Talot found himself unable to get enough of this special feeling.
No wonder his body craved it so badly. This was a true cleansing—a strengthening.
Without further hesitation, Talot quickly devoured it. The fruit flesh was rapidly absorbed by his body after being eaten, and if he stopped, that cool sensation would soon fade away.
After swallowing the huge fruit, Talot closed his eyes and carefully felt the changes.
Once the coolness had completely faded, an intense heat erupted throughout his body.
His strength had increased!
His body had been strengthened!
Pressing his Battle Power Detector, Talot watched his battle power rise from 1,300 to 1,500! 1,500! That was the level Raditz possessed at the beginning of Z! Just one fruit had increased his battle power by 200 points!
With such a massive boost, it was no wonder those giant beasts craved them so desperately.
Eating a single fruit was enough to create a ferocious beast at the level of an Aoyun Planet overlord.
Beside him, seeing that Talot had remained unresponsive, Gine and Selari were both curious and worried.
"Talot, how are you?" Gine asked.
Selari followed up anxiously, "Are you okay, Brother Talot?"
Talot shook his head, then smiled. "These Blood Fruits really can increase strength, and they can strengthen the body too. My battle power has already reached 1,500!"
Upon hearing that, Gine and Selari were both startled.
"That much? I remember that when Bardock and I ate one back then, our battle power only increased by around 100 points." Gine continued recalling it, seemingly wondering whether she had remembered incorrectly.
"Maybe the Blood Fruits we found absorbed more life nutrients, so they gave a greater boost." Talot casually came up with an excuse.
Besides that, they would have to see how much Gine and Selari improved after eating them.
If their gains were all different, then it would mean the effects of the Blood Fruits varied from person to person.
"Aunt Gine, Selari, you should each eat one too. Let's see how much your strength improves." Talot directly took another two Blood Fruits from the Spaceship, giving one to Gine and one to Selari.
