"If you don't want to follow the Prince into battle, I can take you to apply for the right to conquer a mid-level planet on your own!" Bardock said as he watched Talot's reaction. He then added, "With your current Battle Power, an ordinary mid-level planet shouldn't pose much difficulty."

After he finished speaking, Bardock was even more satisfied with Talot's demeanor.

Such a calm and steady personality, such an unhurried and unassuming mindset.

If Talot had not been exceptionally mature since childhood, Bardock would never have imagined that a five-year-old child could be so composed.

"There's no need to answer right away. Think it over carefully. Once you've made up your mind, tell me before my next mission."

"I understand, Uncle Bardock. But I don't think I'll be joining the Prince's team."

How could Talot fail to sense Bardock's concern for him?

Bardock understood him as well, which was why he had arranged another path of training for him.

"Mm!" Bardock nodded slightly, having already anticipated that answer.

Talot was slightly taken aback at those words.

He immediately shook his head, indicating that he did not know, then asked in return, "Did something like that happen?"

That was how he appeared on the surface, but inwardly, he had already reached a definite conclusion.

His senses had been right, and so had his guess.

It had to have been God of Destruction Beerus.

Talot did not know that Beerus had not killed anyone yesterday, nor had he caused any destruction.

The guards who had died were all warriors who might have seen King Vegeta being humiliated yesterday.

To preserve the King's dignity, King Vegeta had killed every warrior who had been on duty.

Better to kill a thousand by mistake than let even one slip through.

"Sure enough, not many people know about it. It may have been forcibly covered up. Among the dead were even elite warriors with Battle Power as high as 5,000." Bardock sighed again, his expression growing slightly more solemn.

The Saiyan Royal Palace had been invaded by an unknown enemy, who had effortlessly killed elite guards with Battle Power as high as 5,000.

One could imagine just how strong the enemy was.

More importantly, it had not attracted any greater attention, which meant the enemy had likely killed all their warriors in an instant.

Bardock thought of one possibility: Frieza had begun making moves against the Saiyans in secret.

This was also intelligence he had obtained by chance during this mission.

It was only a suspicion and had not yet been verified.

But in light of the current situation, that was the only conclusion he could draw.

The atmosphere became heavy. Seeing the conflicted look on Bardock's face, Talot asked, "Did Uncle Bardock think of something?"

"No. It just feels strange. Tomorrow, I'll request an audience with King Vegeta. Perhaps I'll learn the truth then," Bardock said.

Then, seemingly to keep Talot from worrying too much, he smiled it off and began talking to him about other matters.

Talot could not press further.

Even if he had guessed something, he could not say it openly.

Taking this opportunity, Talot began asking Bardock about what he had experienced during this mission and whether anything interesting had happened along the way.

This had always been Talot's habit, so Bardock naturally began recounting his experiences from the mission.

"Come to think of it, it was supposed to be an easy mission, but there were a few minor complications. My strength also broke through on Cyril Star, finally pushing my Battle Power past 10,000..."

As Bardock spoke, he described the course of this mission.

Of course, it was only a rough account, without many unnecessary details.

Even so, Talot received the information he wanted.

Without a doubt, Bardock's account of what happened on Cyril Star shocked Talot.

The plot of Dragon Ball Minus had actually happened!

He had truly not expected that, because he had long assumed this timeline was the Z timeline.

What did not make sense was that, if so, Kakarot should have been three years old.

Yet Kakarot was only half a year old.

"Then after Uncle Bardock returns this time, when will you head out on another mission?" Talot asked again, doing his best to steady his emotions.

Clearly, Bardock had concealed some things.

He did not want Talot to know, nor did he want him involved.

Given Bardock's personality, he was extremely cautious in everything he did. Though he could be somewhat indecisive, he would always get to the bottom of things before making a decision.

"You brat, are you worried you don't have much time left, so you're getting some crooked ideas?" Bardock laughed.

Talot felt awkward at that, unable to decide whether to laugh or cry. "What crooked ideas could I have? I was just asking. Besides, if I really am going to conquer a planet, I want to know how much time I have left so I can prepare."

Bardock nodded and did not hide it from him.

"I can't tell others, but there's no harm in telling you. Just don't casually spread it around.

"This time, I returned so quickly because I received a Royal Decree from King Vegeta. A highly valuable planet was discovered on the front lines, but there is a shortage of high-Battle Power personnel, so I'm needed to lead my squad on this mission.

"That planet is called Planet Kanassa, and the Kanassans living there possess considerable strength! Otherwise, I had originally planned to bring you along on this mission.

"For little Talot's safety, it would be more appropriate for you to go to a mid- or low-level planet instead.

"As for when we leave, I'll have to wait until I meet King Vegeta tomorrow to determine that. At most, it should not be more than half a month."

Bardock explained the situation in detail.

They would be departing for Planet Kanassa in half a month. Talot felt as though he had been injected with pure adrenaline.

So, in this real Dragon Ball world he was in, all the plotlines from the original works had been mixed together.

Recalculating the timeline, there were roughly two to three months left before the crisis of the planet's destruction.

Although he was not sure how far away Planet Kanassa was, it should not be too distant.

Then there was what happened to Bardock and the others in the original story, the time it took to conquer Planet Kanassa, and so on...

Talot knew that this time, he had to leave before Bardock did.

And he could be certain that over the next few days, Bardock would probably arrange for Kakarot to be sent to Earth.

No wonder he came to talk to me directly about taking on missions. Was it to keep me away from this disaster? Bardock definitely knows Frieza is going to move against the Saiyans, but he doesn't know that Frieza had only been considering it and had no intention of wiping out the entire race in one go. Then he received an order from God of Destruction Beerus to destroy Planet Vegeta and the entire Saiyan civilization. Talot thought.
