Background

Chen An was a recently graduated science and engineering PhD before transmigrating into the Primordial World. Pursued through an unfamiliar wilderness by Demonic Beasts, he survived a fall and discovered a ruined courtyard in a valley. Its newly bound Absolute Safe Zone System became his sole reliable protection, despite offering neither cultivation nor combat power. 1 2

He turned the decaying courtyard into a survivable home through repair work, hunting, gardening, toolmaking, food preservation, and careful observation. His remaining gel pen and notebook became valuable tools for recording terrain, weather, and crop growth, while his worn copy of the Tao Te Ching became his principal emotional anchor. 4 7 10 29

After finding the gravely wounded black hound later known as Little Black outside the barrier, Chen An treated its wounds with self-prepared herbs, ash disinfectant, deerskin bandages, and broth.
