Appearance

The Cyclops is an immense, one-eyed, one-horned giant. Even while seated and hunched over, its upper body nearly reaches the height of a two-story house; in combat, it is described as over six meters tall. 22 24

As a Champion-template Cyclops, it has overwhelming physical strength and durability. Its Strength-to-HP conversion rate is 1:35, producing a health pool of 1015 HP. 23

• Can seize Cheng Tian and slam him into the ground with enough force to create a human-shaped crater. 24

Single Eye

Its single eye grants near “eagle eye” long-range vision, including the ability to hit a distant target with a thrown rock. 23

Story Role

The Cyclops is established as the team main-quest objective for the first stage of the Demon Village instance. Players must defeat it within eight hours to clear the trial and receive the basic quest reward. 1

It guards the first gate leading into the Demon King's Castle. Cheng Tian, One-Ear, Scab, and the temporary Demon Cicada reach it after crossing the river and navigating the jungle; the Cyclops is initially asleep outside the gate. 22

Cheng Tian opens the battle by throwing Demon Cicada at its eye and ordering it to use Metal Claw. The attack destroys the eye and turns the giant's exceptional vision into a crippling liability. 23 24 Cheng then briefly transforms it into a duck with Polymorph (Duck), uses its returning size to climb onto its head, and stabs its nostril with a straight sword. 24

Although the Cyclops catches and slams Cheng Tian down, Cheng Tian equips Knight Armor at the last moment; the armor negates the impact and ejects him unharmed. 24 Blinded and unable to smell, the Cyclops becomes a stationary target while Cheng Tian uses holy-damage Knight Throwing projectiles supplied by One-Ear and Scab. 25

Near death, it releases its final fireball to alert the Demon King's Castle of a new human hero. The recoil from drawing on its Flame Titan bloodline kills it, completing the main quest. 25 26
