Background
The Red Arremer Clan are ever-present demon enemies within the demon realm’s forces. Although their relationship with the Demon King is described as employment rather than direct subordination, their role leaves most clan members near the bottom of the demon hierarchy. Red Arremers are nevertheless demons rather than demonic-corruption creations such as zombies, Red-Eyed Ravens, or Man-Eating Plants. 11
This particular Red Arremer was an elite-template demon stationed at the cemetery exit. While at rest, he sat cross-legged on a stone pedestal in a sealed, statue-like gargoyle state; players could avoid him by staying outside his guard range. 11

Appearance
Red Arremer is a completely crimson, winged demon with a gargoyle-like body. His pointed head and beak-like mouth remain prominent even when he is transformed into a duck. 11 12
- Crimson coloration across his body and feathers. 11 12
- Bat-like demon wings, which provide his aerial mobility. 13
- Pointed head and beak-like mouth. 11 12
- Can assume a motionless stone-statue appearance while inactive. 11
Personality
Red Arremer is a battle-hardened mercenary demon with extensive inherited combat experience. His initial response to Cheng Tian is cautious: the sight of an unknown human in Kingdom Knight Armor charging him without hesitation makes him retreat into the air to observe. 12
That caution turns into overconfidence after he dodges Cheng Tian’s thrown cleavers and concludes that his opponent has no effective weapon left. This misjudgment leaves him unable to evade Polymorph (Duck). Even after being mutilated and facing certain death, he neither begs nor threatens Cheng Tian, instead attempting one last Fireball Spit and bite. 12 14
Abilities & Skills
Flame Gargoyle Physiology
As a Flame Gargoyle, Red Arremer possesses exceptional mobility and two racial talents.
- Has high aerial agility, erratic maneuverability, and free flight. 12
- His wings are central to his mobility; after they are severed, his Agility falls from 15 to 8 and he loses flight. 13
- His elite-template resistance reduces Polymorph (Duck) from five seconds to three. 13
Statue State
Outside combat, Red Arremer remains sealed in an inactive statue-like resting form.
- Almost all abilities are inactive while resting. 11
- He remains motionless unless someone enters his guard range. 11
- This state allows players to bypass him, making his defeat a side-quest challenge rather than a main-quest requirement. 11
Emergency Petrification
Red Arremer can petrify himself even in dangerous circumstances, becoming an immobile stone gargoyle.
- Loses all movement while petrified. 13
- Gains substantial physical damage reduction and heals at roughly 1 HP per second. 13
- Bladed weapons, bare fists, and even temporary holy damage are ineffective against the stone form. 13 14
- Takes double full damage from blunt weapons, pickaxes, drills, and similar targeted attacks. 14
- Cannot immediately leave petrification due to the skill’s cooldown. 14
Fireball Spray
Red Arremer can gather magical power and spit small but potent fireballs.
- Retains this as his final potential counterattack after losing his limbs. 13 14
- His attempt to use Fireball Spit is cut short by his death. 14
Relationships
- Cheng Tian — Enemy and killer. Cheng Tian accepts the optional challenge of fighting him, exploits his assumptions, removes his wings through duck-form injuries, and kills him without taking damage. 11 12 13 14
- Red Arremer Clan — Clan member; the clan’s accumulated combat experience informs his cautious assessment of Cheng Tian. 11 12
- Demon King / demon realm forces — His clan serves the demon realm under an employment arrangement; Red Arremer is assigned guard duty at the cemetery exit. 11
Story Role / Major Arcs
Cemetery Exit Guard
Red Arremer is introduced as the rare elite demon preventing most Demon Village players from progressing beyond the early portion of the first stage. The Chosen Evolution Space designates killing him as a side quest, emphasizing that novice players are expected to avoid rather than defeat him. 11
He awakens when Cheng Tian deliberately enters his range in Arthur’s Knight Armor. Mistaking the armor’s wearer for Arthur or Arthur’s successor, Red Arremer initially observes from the air and effortlessly evades two thrown Goblin Cleavers. 11 12
Defeat by Polymorph and Mutilation
Believing Cheng Tian’s cleavers to be his only threat, Red Arremer dives in to kill him. Cheng Tian immediately equips the concealed Bloodline Gentleman’s Cane in his empty off-hand and hits him with Polymorph (Duck), changing him into a crimson Summer Duck. 12
During the three-second transformation, Cheng Tian cuts off the duck’s wings. The injuries transfer back when Red Arremer returns to demon form, permanently severing his wings, removing his flight, and reducing his Agility to 8. 13
Petrification and Death
Red Arremer uses emergency petrification to halt his bleeding, recover health, and resist Cheng Tian’s cleaver. Cheng Tian identifies the stone form’s weakness to blunt weapons and uses a Great Hammer to shatter Red Arremer’s knees, limbs, and hand while staying clear of his mouth. 13 14
With his wings removed and limbs smashed, Red Arremer makes a final unsuccessful attempt to retaliate with Fireball Spit. Cheng Tian kills him without suffering damage, completing the side quest. 14
Drops and Consequences
- Red Arremer’s Heart — A Blue/Fine skill stone formed from his heart. Cheng Tian crushes it to learn Hundred Demons’ Night Parade, a B-rank skill originally exclusive to the Red Imp King. 15
- Red Imp First Blood — Cheng Tian earns this limited achievement for solo-killing a boss-tier-or-higher Red Arremer within his first three Chosen Trials without taking damage. 14
- Foe of the Red Imp — Cheng Tian receives this growable Blue/Excellent title, which causes Red Arremer units to become highly hostile and increases his damage against Red Arremers and Gargoyles. 14
