"Yo, Saitama, giving up?"

Before long, Saitama came out of Oboro's home again with a dark expression.

In response to Oboro calling out to him, he mercilessly shut the door.

Standing in the apartment hallway, Saitama ground his teeth, furious beyond measure.

The next second, his face turned serious. Clenching his fist, he declared, "I've decided..."

"I'm going to get stronger... strong enough to surpass you!"

"I'll avenge this humiliation!"

The person he was talking about was naturally Oboro.

It had been a long time since Saitama had been so thoroughly beaten down by an "enemy." More devastating still... was the expression on Oboro's face after beating him.

It had completely shattered the bald man's psychological defenses.

Yet there was nothing he could do about it. It wasn't as though he could just beat Oboro up, was it?

Still, his anger only lasted for a little while. After dinner, Saitama calmed down and went to sleep.

Then, the next day, he continued with his usual routine.

After the exorcism and gaming incidents, the relationship between Oboro and Saitama had improved. At the very least, that initial awkwardness was gone.

But Saitama had to make a living. After Oboro gave up following the bald man, aside from occasionally taking a stroll or staying home, he spent most of his time training... and every time he entered meditation, he remained there for days and nights. Thus, they both maintained their own pace of life.

They only occasionally played games or chatted.

The days passed one by one in this "calm as water" rhythm.

One evening.

Oboro invited Saitama over for dinner. Saitama complained that he had not seen Oboro "for a while" and had actually been rather worried about him.
