Nusjuro participates in the Five Elders' discussions concerning Oboro's growing influence. He considers Oboro's strategic thinking dangerous and warns that the Hell Pirates may eventually target the Five Elders themselves. 502 Later, he notes that Oboro may be concealing powers beyond those already displayed against Garp and Shanks. 608

Assault on Mary Geoise

When Oboro infiltrates Mary Geoise, Nusjuro is the first Elder to question how he bypassed the Holy Land's security. 609 He transforms and draws Kitetsu alongside the other Elders, but Oboro reads their intentions through soul perception and acts before they can seize the initiative. 609

After Saints Mars and Warcury are killed, Nusjuro flees in skeletal-horse form. Oboro appears on his back mid-flight, confronts him near the Room of Flowers, and unexpectedly allows him to live. 610 Oboro orders Nusjuro to relay a warning to Imu and Saint Peter: they have little time remaining and should struggle while they can. 610

Final Battle at Mary Geoise

Following the attack on Mary Geoise, Nusjuro recalls forces from Egghead under Imu's orders, recognizing Oboro's actions as a warning. 612 He later stands at the front of the World Government's final defensive force alongside Saint Peter. 617

Nusjuro battles Shiryu with Kitetsu during the conflict, but he and Saint Peter ultimately die after Oboro's interference with their souls weakens their otherwise extreme regeneration. 619 621
