Hunting Tiger's Remains
Ke Wenbin felt a chill on the back of his neck, and goosebumps rose all over his body.
I didn't run into them when I arrived, but I actually did when I left!
"In the room?"
Xiang Fangsu shook his head.
"Not here? Don't know?"
"Have no idea."
He pushed aside the stone slab and saw that the door was open. He didn't dare to look around, afraid that if he turned his head, he would meet a dead man's face.
Now that things have come to this, we have no choice but to go back and look for other places...
tread.
tread.
The faint sound of footsteps spread along the stone slabs, startling the three of them.
"Let's go, let's go!"
Ke Wenbin let out a low cry, grabbed Liang Qu's arm, and pulled him along as they fled towards the main hall, with Xiang Fangsu close behind.
The three of them stepped over a few stairs, and a loud bang came from behind them. A strong wind rose in the enclosed space, and dust filled the air.
Xiang Fangsu glanced back.
Moonlight streamed through the passageway, its silvery glow flowing through the dusty air.
On the pale, leaden-gray stone wall, a figure was rushing towards them at breakneck speed! The surrounding black mist pressed in even closer! He shouted.
"A Shui, the talisman!"
After Earthly Dao for so long, the original Dragon-Tiger Talisman had long lost its effectiveness!
Liang Qu flipped his hand and gripped Ke Wenbin's wrist, while his other hand grabbed Xiang Fangsu's. As the Dragon-Tiger Qi flowed, two more Dragon-Tiger Talisman radiating golden light were imprinted on them!
As the Dragon-Tiger Talisman took shape, the black energy surrounding the three was once again forced back.
Inside the passageway, figures moved at an extremely fast pace, and a chilling aura wafted over as they ran, carrying a musty smell.
One moment it was ethereal and far away, the next it felt like a blade cutting across my face!
Wow, so fast!
Xiang Fangsu felt goosebumps all over his body, and his entire back was covered in cold sweat.
"Ke Wenbin!"
He roared, threw out two wooden boxes, flipped his wrist to draw his knife, and a cold light flashed in the dark chamber.
"They're here!"
Ke Wenbin understood immediately. He stopped abruptly, and his muscles flowed with power like a fully drawn bow, which was forcefully transmitted to Liang Qu.
"Keep an eye on these things!"
Liang Qu felt a tremendous force on his forearm, and then his feet left the ground, causing him to fall deeper into the tunnel.
The scene before his eyes changed drastically and became blurry; from his forearm to his entire body, he felt as if he were floating in mid-air.
Along with him, flying through the air were four long boxes and a jade bottle.
Liang Qu's Golden Eye flashed as he reached out and grabbed the five treasures in mid-air. He then twisted his spine to adjust his center of gravity, landed on his feet, and slid along the stone wall for more than ten meters. Without even needing to stand firm, he used the momentum to run deeper into the stone wall without looking back.
Inside the passage, swords flashed and shadows danced; sharp Blade Aura flew over Liang Qu's head, leaving a deep gash.
He dared not linger and fled all the way to the first main hall, where he moved the Great Cauldron, Dipamkara, and provided a view for Xiang Fangsu and the others.
He then took off his coat, revealing the Fish King Inner Armor, wrapped all the treasures inside the clothes, tied them with knots, carried them on his back, took out the great bow, nocked a black arrow, and ran to the second hall to ambush.
The rumbling sound in the tunnel grew louder and louder as it approached.
In just a few breaths, Xiang Fangsu and Ke Wenbin, covered in dust, rushed out of the tunnel one after the other.
Amidst the billowing dust, a burly figure clad in tattered cylindrical armor and wielding a thick-backed square sword followed closely behind.
Liang Qu didn't know if that thing could be considered a person, but at least for now it retained a human form.
He released his grip, and a sharp black line flashed past.
A gust of wind swept past Xiang Fangsu, and as she passed by, the momentum of the black shadow leaping and attacking behind her was forcibly interrupted.
Before it could even finish its slash, it was struck by a sudden, powerful arrow and forced to retreat.
Despite the heavy attack, the shadowy figure remained unharmed. Its upper body was knocked back by the arrow, but its lower body stood firmly upright again.
In that instant, Liang Qu finally saw the face of the shadowy figure clearly.
A long, narrow knife mark remained there, the wound extremely deep, the muscles rolled back, revealing a pale, shattered skull, almost splitting the shadowy figure's entire face in two! A knife capable of leaving such a scar must be a fine one.
Liang Qu suddenly remembered his Master's black knife, and it seemed that the two were quite compatible.
Zombies?
The word flashed through his mind for no apparent reason.
Thoughts flashed like lightning.
Xiang Fangsu and Ke Wenbin did not remain idle; they both attacked the corpse that should have been dead.
The entire second hall was filled with flashing swords, and the corpses caught in the blast were reduced to fragments on the ground, with a pale yellow, translucent liquid flowing from the cuts, but no blood was oozing out.
The thick-backed broadsword, covered in dark stains, wielded with ferocity in the corpse's hand. The wolf's head on the hilt opened its mouth wide, biting a skull, and as it swung, black energy splattered like ink.
The entire battle was not one-sided.
In just a few breaths, Liang Qu could tell that the corpse did not know any footwork or martial arts; it relied entirely on unparalleled brute force and the instinct of countless sword swings to fight back.
It can unleash Blade Aura with just its own strength, cutting out a sharp edge that stretches for tens of meters.
Xiang Fangsu had a clearer view during her match against Ke Wenbin, and therefore mostly used a hit-and-run tactic.
It was only because of the peculiar nature of the human corpse that it was completely immune to pain and showed no reaction to the wounds inflicted by Xiang Fangsu and Ke Wenbin that it appeared particularly firm.
Liang Qu, clutching the black arrow, huddled in a corner, staring at the shards of flesh sloshing around in the corpse's skull, knowing that attacking the brain would probably not work.
A faint golden light spread along the shaft of the black arrow, and the Dragon-Tiger Qi permeated the arrow.
Liang Qu seized the opportunity and fired an arrow during a gap in Xiang Fangsu and Ke Wenbin's attack.
A golden light streaked through the air, dissolving all the black energy along its path, and slammed into the corpse's left arm.
In an instant, the black aura on the corpse's left arm dissipated rapidly, as if it had encountered snow in boiling water.
The left arm simply drooped down limply!
Xiang Fangsu's wrist was throbbing from the blows from the corpse. Seeing this, her expression shifted slightly. She turned her head and exchanged a glance with Ke Wenbin. The two of them simultaneously switched from offense to suppression! Liang Qu knew perfectly well that the two of them were creating an opportunity for him.
He forced out most of the remaining Dragon-Tiger Qi in his body and concentrated it on the black arrow, calming his Qi Concealment his energy.
The second opportunity came quickly. Two gusts of Gang Wind flashed by, and the corpse's upward slash missed, leaving a wide-open gap for a direct breakthrough.
Liang Qu did not miss this opportunity. He released the long bowstring, and another golden line streaked across the darkness. The black arrow pierced the air, and faint sounds of dragons roaring and tigers howling could be heard.
A burst of golden light erupted.
The black arrow pierced straight into the corpse's chest, and a large amount of black mist rushed out of the corpse's chest.
As the black mist dissipated, the corpse seemed to have had its spine removed, rendering it unable to move! The already stiff corpse now became an easy target!
Xiang Fangsu lunged forward, a flash of light, and the corpse's forearm holding the knife broke off and crashed to the ground.
Ke Wenbin was equally quick, severing a section of the lower leg from the corpse.
Several flashes of cold light streaked past, and the entire corpse was torn apart as if it had been subjected to the punishment of being torn apart by a chariot.
Xiang Fangsu made a final cut across the neck.
The corpse's head fell to the ground, its mouth agape, opening and closing unconsciously.
