Victory Road?

In the Pokémon World, nearly every League had its own Victory Road.

For example, in Kanto Region, Victory Road was located on Mt. Silver, leading upward into the depths of Mt. Silver.

The dangers of Mt. Silver needed no further explanation. After becoming Champion, Red had remained deep within Mt. Silver to "train." Countless powerful, high-level wild Pokémon lived there, making it a "forbidden zone" for many ordinary Trainers.

And because Johto Region was connected to Kanto Region, separated by the Mt. Silver mountain range, it effectively shared the same Victory Road as Kanto Region.

Every regional Conference Champion had one chance to challenge Victory Road.

Challenging Victory Road and entering Victory Road were two entirely different concepts.

Challengers, such as the future Green and Red, merely needed to win the Conference before fighting their way through Victory Road, eventually defeating the Elite Four in succession and claiming the true Champion title!

They became some of the few who truly became Champions immediately after winning a Conference.

In most regions, only Trainers who made it through Victory Road and defeated the Elite Four could be considered true regional Champions.

And if the old Champion was still around, making it through Victory Road became even more difficult.

Just like Red in the future.

Unlike those challenging Victory Road, most of those who entered it were Trainers with some confidence in their own strength.

They were not all Master Level Trainers, but they definitely were not Trainers that beginners could compare to.

Challengers not only had to face powerful wild Pokémon and dangerous environments, but also the challenges of Trainers training within Victory Road.

Only then could they reach the end of Victory Road and face the Elite Four, or even the Champion!
