Ch. 725War Restarts

Pomona sought Cain’s support as the imperial succession conflict escalated into open war, then was trapped by a Heretic Cult ambush. Duke Carlot arrived to rescue him and unleashed a powerful storm artifact against the cultists’ array.

  • Pomona contacted Cain, who agreed to provide manpower and secret assistance while the princes’ conflict distracted the royal family.
  • Ferdinand and Oswivia’s factions began fighting across the empire, while lesser nobles battled for promised lands and other princes maneuvered amid the chaos.
  • Duke Carlot received an urgent report that Pomona had been ambushed by a Ninth Rank from the Star Praise Sect and warned Fiona’s protector to stay alert.
  • Carlot reached the battlefield and found Pomona trapped in a cocoon of Dark Green Flame within a ritual array guarded by Heretic Cultists.
  • Carlot summoned a treasured Mini Tornado, unleashing a Rule Power blizzard and an enormous tornado against the array.

Ch. 726Traps and Premonitions

Duke Carlot rescued Pomona from the Heretic Cultists, but a Mimic Apostle posing as Pomona trapped him in a Divine Territory. At Pamir Academy, Anvis sensed danger and discovered through divination that the people around him were seriously threatened.

  • Duke Carlot overwhelmed the Heretic Cultists’ flames, and the Heretic God Priest fled as Pomona escaped the Magic Array.
  • Pomona warned Carlot that Fiona was the real target, then used a Black Stone Staff to trap him in a dark green Divine Power Domain.
  • The Mimic Apostle revealed that it had exchanged places with Pomona, sealed Carlot inside a shrinking sphere, and arranged for Pomona to return and rescue him within fifteen days.
  • Anvis felt an unexplained unease at Pamir Academy, but his first precognition ritual suggested that only a minor faction threatened him.
  • Anvis used a harder-to-interfere-with divination and learned that danger was approaching and that the people around him faced serious threats.

Ch. 727Preparation

Anvis’s prophecy pointed to the Star Praise Sect as a threat to his family, and he learned that Duke Carlot had gone to aid Pomona. As Anvis shifted his attention toward Fiona, she attended a tea party with princess Oswivia, who invited the group to Twin Cape.

  • Anvis’s prophecy ritual reacted violently to the word “Family,” and the Old Days Secret Scripture absorbed the dark green writing as a mysterious gaze was blocked by Pamir Academy’s Mystic Lock.
  • Anvis suspected the Star Praise Sect and tried to warn Duke Carlot, but learned from Duchess Elena and Butler Leonard that the Duke had gone to rescue Pomona.
  • Anvis concluded that Fiona could be the Star Praise Sect’s target and sent more of his power and attention to Leivin Bolley’s side.
  • Fiona attended a tea party with princess Oswivia and other noble ladies, where they discussed Twin Cape’s attractions.
  • Princess Oswivia invited Fiona and the others to her estate at Twin Cape for their next gathering.

Ch. 728Sudden Change

Anvis investigated possible threats to Fiona, but the family’s return brought an unsettling change: Pomona came back injured while Duke Carlot remained missing. That night, Pomona attacked Anvis without warning, destroying his avatar with Rule Power.

  • At the tea party, Oswivia warned Catherine Alfred that Construct Network Headgear was dangerous and had contributed to the Lord of Dreams incident and the emergence of Contactees.
  • Anvis asked Head Maid Annie about unusual developments and told her a powerful being might attack Fiona, then decided to prepare defenses around her.
  • Two days later, Pomona returned injured and claimed he had been trapped in Divine Flame before Duke Carlot fought the Heretic God Priest and disappeared.
  • The Family Guardian went to investigate Carlot’s last known location, while Pomona was assigned to protect Fiona as he recovered.
  • Anvis found Pomona on the mansion terrace that night, and Pomona struck him with Rule Power, turning his avatar into icy crystal dust.

Ch. 729Second Attack

Anvis suspected Pomona had turned against the Olyvendi Family and rushed to protect Fiona, but a second assault on the City Lord's Mansion disrupted his plans. Pomona’s apparent rescue attempt proved to be a trap, leaving the Floating City damaged as the real Pomona emerged unharmed.

  • Anvis suspected Pomona might have betrayed the family, teleported a clone to the City Lord's Mansion, and went to check on Fiona.
  • Anvis found Fiona playing Arcane Cards with Kate and Fia, but withheld his suspicions about Pomona.
  • A black shadow attacked the City Lord's Mansion and demanded Xing from the Family Guardian, who fought back.
  • Pomona entered Fiona's room and offered to take her and Anvis to a safe place.
  • The Floating City struck Pomona with Purification Light, but Anvis discovered that he had attacked an Ice Clone as the real Pomona hit the Floating City with an ice beam.

Ch. 730Escape

Anvis tried to escape with the Floating City after Pomona’s attack trapped it and Alfred Family experts invaded. Just as the city began teleporting into the Deep Dream World with Pomona, multiple Ninth Rank Experts appeared and attacked, forcing Anvis to flee with them in pursuit.

  • Pomona’s Zero-Degree Beam damaged the Floating City and marked it with ice Rule Power, preventing it from teleporting away.
  • Two Ninth Rank Experts from the Alfred Family entered the Floating City, while the Star Praise Sect’s Ninth Rank Expert attacked Fiona.
  • Anvis sent Golem squads to delay the intruders, ordered Sectors 17 and 18 abandoned, and used the Floating City’s imprisonment field to drag Pomona into its Dream Realm.
  • The Floating City began teleporting into the Deep Dream World with Pomona, but multiple Ninth Rank Experts emerged and marked and attacked it.
  • Anvis planned to use dangerous regions and ancient beings in the Deep Dream World to evade pursuit, while his Avatar tried to escape with Fiona.

Ch. 731Support and Evasion

After Pomona was taken away with the Floating City, Anvis and Fiona tried to escape Silver Gull City with help from Oswivia’s forces. Their escort was ambushed by masked Heretic Cultists, who blocked both ends of an alley.

  • Fiona wanted to rescue Pomona, but Anvis persuaded her to prioritize their safety and hide.
  • Anvis noticed that Pomona’s disappearance had exposed a concealed Beacon on the City Lord’s Mansion terrace.
  • Silver Moon’s Edge arrived to help the Alfred Family’s Ninth Rank after Oswivia sent the royal retainer to protect Fiona.
  • Night Star led a Rose Knights squad to escort Anvis, Fiona, and Annie out of the City Lord’s Mansion in disguise.
  • As fires and fighting spread through Silver Gull City, masked Heretic Cultists trapped the escort in an alley with a cage of black shadow.

Ch. 732Support

Knight Commander Night Star held off a Faceless One while the Rose Knights tried to escort Fiona, Anvis, and Annie out of Silver Gull City. Landon and the Spark Rebel Army arrived to help the knights defeat another Faceless One, and a knight captain invited them to escape with the group.

  • Night Star ordered most of the Rose Knights to escort the guests toward Rendezvous Point Four while she stayed behind to fight the Faceless One.
  • The knights used their Holy Sword Legion Battle Skill to break through the enemy lines with Fiona, Anvis, and Annie protected in their formation.
  • A second Faceless One and its fanatics caught the group before they could leave the Central District, and the knights began to suffer heavy losses.
  • Anvis stopped Fiona from revealing her strength when Landon, Luo Qi, Matt, Ailisha, and other Spark Rebel Army members appeared to help.
  • Landon used Dark Raven's power against the Faceless One while the rebels supported the knights, forcing the wounded enemy to retreat.
  • The remaining Seventh Rank knight captain thanked the rebels and invited them to escape Silver Gull City with the group.

Ch. 733Gray Mist's Influence and Escape

Anvis recognized Gray Mist’s influence over some Spark Rebel Army members as three Faceless Ones attacked the group. After Anvis’s artifact created a chance to escape, Landon and the rebels helped the injured group reach a hidden Spark Organization stronghold.

  • Anvis noticed that gray Fate Mist influenced several ordinary Spark Rebel Army soldiers, though Landon, Luo Qi, Ailisha, and Matt were mostly protected from its effects.
  • Three Faceless Ones attacked, and the knight commander’s defensive barrier began to fail under their dark and polluted assaults.
  • Anvis used an Icy Wind Crystal Bird artifact to freeze and conceal the group, allowing the knights to burn their Seeds of Life and flee.
  • A Faceless One caught up with the fleeing group and badly wounded the knight commander, but Anvis used another artifact to drive it back and rescue him.
  • Anvis’s group encountered Landon, Luo Qi, and the rebels, who joined them in repelling their pursuer and led them to a secret Spark Organization stronghold.

Ch. 734Spark's "Purpose"

Landon offered to treat the injured knight commander, and Anvis revealed his identity to the Spark Rebel Army members. After Fiona introduced herself as the lord of Star Territory, Landon learned that his companions were closely connected to the noble class, and Anvis asked why he had joined the rebellion.

  • Landon offered to stabilize the injured knight commander, and Anvis accepted his help.
  • Anvis removed his helmet and reunited with Luo Qi and Ailisha, while Fiona revealed her face and spoke with Luo Qi.
  • Landon described the Spark Rebel Army's goal of overthrowing the nobles and creating a society without oppression.
  • Fiona asked whether the Spark Rebel Army had started the war, and Ailisha pointed out that Landon did not know who Anvis and Fiona were.
  • Fiona introduced herself as Fiona Olivenndi, the lord of Star Territory, leaving Landon stunned by his companions' ties to the nobility.
  • Anvis urged Landon to stay calm and asked how he came to hold his revolutionary beliefs, and Landon credited Leo and the Construct Headband.

Ch. 735Free Will

Anvis learned that Gray Mist had likely reshaped the Spark Organization's ideals through Leo's speech, while Ailisha explained why she had joined and returned her Secret Art Ring. After Landon invited Anvis to join Spark, Anvis received word that the Floating City had entered his prepared dream battlefield and withdrew to focus on it.

  • Ailisha told Anvis that Leo's Construct Network speech called for overthrowing oppressive nobles and granting rights to Commoner Professionals, and she explained that her sense of justice had led her to join Spark.
  • Anvis suspected Gray Mist had influenced Spark's new ideals and refused to take back Ailisha's Secret Art Ring, saying their affiliations did not make them enemies.
  • Landon apologized for his earlier behavior and invited Anvis to join the Spark Organization, but Anvis declined.
  • Anvis learned that the pursued Floating City had fled into his prepared dream battlefield, gave Landon a Ring of rare cultivation resources, and went to rest while preparing to focus on the battlefield.
  • Lord Dark Raven warned Landon that Anvis and Ailisha were unusual and powerful, and Landon arranged for the others to return to their rooms.

Ch. 736Dream Ambush

Anvis lured the Star Praise Sect’s two ninth-rank Apostles into a strange dream realm and escaped just as its ancient master awakened. After confirming the Apostles had vanished, he headed for his next prepared battlefield.

  • Anvis brought Pomona and the Floating City into an inverted dream realm, then threw Pomona into Dream Turbulence.
  • Bohemia warned that an unknown force had sealed the realm as the Star Praise Sect’s two ninth-rank Apostles arrived in their monstrous forms.
  • Anvis and Bohemia used purification beams and Alchemy Golems to hold off the Apostles while Anvis waited for the realm’s hidden change.
  • When an invisible ripple spread across the battlefield, Anvis ordered Bohemia to break the seal with a Space Shockwave and flee.
  • The dream realm’s ancient master awakened and swallowed everything left inside in darkness, while the Floating City escaped.
  • Anvis confirmed the Apostles’ auras had vanished, crossed the Star Praise Sect off his enemy list, and set out for his next battlefield.

Ch. 737Trap

After eliminating the Star Praise Sect, Anvis trapped the two Alfred Family sorcerers in a Dream Maze and prepared an ambush for the remaining pursuers. Marquis Delaka and the other Ninth Ranks gathered near the apparently helpless Floating City, where Golden Wings launched the first attack while the others tested it from a distance.

  • Anvis identified the Imperial Royal Family's pursuers and one of the three concealed Ninth Ranks as the greatest threats to the Floating City.
  • Anvis severed the section carrying the two Alfred Family Ninth Rank sorcerers and cast it into a natural Dream Maze.
  • Anvis positioned the Four Nightmares at a second battlefield to ambush Marquis Delaka and the other pursuers.
  • The Floating City appeared to be caught in Dream Turbulence, and Marquis Delaka waited for the other Ninth Ranks to arrive rather than attack alone.
  • Golden Wings charged the Floating City with a combined Dragon Knight attack while the other Ninth Ranks probed it from afar.

Ch. 738Final Battle (Part One)

Anvis used Dream Turbulence to hinder Golden Wings and the other Ninth Ranks as they pursued the Floating City. After Golden Wings breached the city and the turbulence dissipated, Anvis ordered the Four Nightmares to intervene against those preparing to destroy it.

  • Anvis's Dream Turbulence slowed Golden Wings and distorted the attacks of the Ninth Ranks pursuing the Floating City.
  • Golden Wings and his dragon fused their Domains, charged through the unstable turbulence, and smashed through the Floating City's defenses, bringing it to a halt.
  • Two concealed Ninth Ranks and Marquis Delaka entered the Floating City, while the unidentified Ninth Rank and two Imperial Royal Family consecrated experts remained outside.
  • The two Imperial Royal Family experts began unsealing Limit Breaking Artifacts to destroy the Floating City from outside.
  • Anvis ordered the Four Nightmares to act, and the Blue-Gold Themis Colossus emerged from a nearby dream world and charged at the Imperial Royal Family experts with its Annihilation Cannon ready.

Ch. 739Final Battle (Part 2)

The Royal Supplicants and a Federation Parliament member used Limit Breaking Artifacts against the Floating City, but an ancient Dark Ocean disrupted the battle and forced the survivors to flee or be devoured. Anvis concealed the damaged Floating City in Dream Turbulence after releasing trapped invaders into the Dark Ocean, leaving Golden Wings fleeing and another ninth-ranker hidden in the wreckage.

  • A Royal Supplicant redirected the Sword of Truth against the Themis Colossus, badly damaging it and disrupting its connection to Bohemia.
  • The Four Nightmares and an ancient Dark Ocean attacked the Federation Parliament member, who used the Scepter of Decay to wound the Dark Ocean and escape through Dream Space.
  • The Dark Ocean devoured one Royal Supplicant, while the stronger Supplicant opened a passage between the Deep Dream World and the shallow Dream World and fled.
  • Anvis ordered Bohemia to release invaders trapped in the Floating City's Dream Realm and conceal the main city after severing Sectors Four through Six.
  • Golden Wings broke out of the Fourth Sector but was overwhelmed by the Dark Ocean and escaped with a weakened aura, while another ninth-ranker hid in the wreckage.
  • Anvis summoned Dream Turbulence around the concealed Floating City, and the Dark Ocean eventually contracted back into its small Dream World.

Ch. 740Spoils of War

Anvis escaped the battle in the Floating City, captured Marquis Delaka, and planned to test whether the Twisted Seed could control a weakened Ninth Rank. After returning to the Spark Organization’s base, he learned that Gray Mist was about to break through and Hermit wanted to know whether he would join.

  • Anvis guided the Floating City away from the battlefield after Golden Wings escaped the Dark Tentacle Sea.
  • Anvis expelled one hidden Ninth Rank and kept Marquis Delaka, whom the Floating City suppressed and weakened with arrays.
  • Anvis planned to trap Delaka in a Time-like Illusion before testing the Twisted Seed on him.
  • Anvis emerged from Deep Meditation at the Spark Organization’s secret base in Silver Gull City and turned to other matters while Delaka weakened.
  • Hermit contacted Anvis and said Gray Mist was about to break through, asking whether he would join.

Ch. 741Gray Mist's Major Move

Anvis learned from Hermit that Gray Mist had used his secret control of the Construct Network to distribute extensive professional knowledge and promote resistance to noble rule, triggering upheaval across the Federation. Gray Mist had not yet broken through, so the Prophets were trying to destroy network nodes and deciding whether to kill him.

  • Anvis contacted Hermit and learned that Gray Mist had secretly designed the Construct Network's core architecture and was exploiting his hidden privileges.
  • Gray Mist released extensive advancement knowledge, techniques, and spell information through the network, undermining the ruling class's information blockade.
  • With help from a mysterious Outsider, Gray Mist spread ideals of equality and resistance through the Spark Resistance Organization's internal network.
  • Federation kingdoms banned Construct Network Headgear and sent Knights Orders to confiscate it, but their response came too late; the Federal Speaker and many Parliament members took no action.
  • Anvis concluded that Gray Mist had caused major change but had not broken through, while the other High-rank Prophets began destroying network nodes and discussed eliminating him.

Ch. 742The Reason for Forgetting

Anvis joined the High-rank Prophets as they prepared to attack Gray Mist, but Gray Mist appeared and revealed why he had not yet become a Ninth Rank Diviner. He offered the prophets a choice between joining him against Star Gazer or facing the consequences of continuing to oppose him.

  • Anvis entered the prophets' meeting in the Web of Fate and asked about Gray Mist's stalled breakthrough.
  • Gray Mist appeared in the meeting, startling the prophets and causing several to destroy their consciousness bodies to avoid being tracked.
  • Gray Mist explained that Star Gazer had placed a restriction in the Web of Fate to delay every eighth-rank prophet's breakthrough so he could eliminate them.
  • Gray Mist said Star Gazer had claimed to have forgotten why he prevented other prophets from reaching the ninth rank, and that he had left his teacher over the restriction.
  • Gray Mist offered three places in his faction, promising to help those who joined him against Star Gazer break through to the ninth rank.
  • Gray Mist promised to forgive the prophets' past attacks if they stopped opposing him, but warned them of the consequences if they continued.

Ch. 743Parting on Bad Terms

Lord Gray Mist invited the Prophets to join his faction, promising to help three of them reach the Ninth Rank and fight Star Gazer. Eye of Insight and several others accepted, while Anvis declined for now and left suspecting Star Gazer was the key to stopping Lord Gray Mist.

  • Lord Gray Mist said the Prophets below the Ninth Rank could offer him little help and argued that Star Gazer was their shared enemy.
  • Eye of Insight joined Lord Gray Mist's faction and inspected a contract requiring members to fight Star Gazer in exchange for a chance at his help.
  • Several High-rank Prophets joined, while others refused to commit because they feared the cost of accepting Lord Gray Mist's offer.
  • Lord Gray Mist told Anvis that his breakthrough would take no more than a month and that his invitation would remain open until then.
  • Anvis declined to decide immediately and left with the other Prophets, suspecting that Star Gazer was Lord Gray Mist's greatest fear.

Ch. 744Return and Plans

After learning that Gray Mist would break through in less than a month, Anvis considered how to use the coming opportunity while keeping Fiona hidden from the Olyvendi Family. He decided to leave the Spark Organization’s base with Fiona and use her situation to provoke the recovering Star Gazer.

  • Anvis learned from Gray Mist that he would break through in less than a month.
  • Anvis explained that Fiona remained hidden after the Star Territory battle, using the Deep Dream World and Dark Side of the Moon to conceal her from the Olyvendi Family and their pursuers.
  • Anvis paused during a game of Black and White War Chess with Landon, then told Fiona that he had received new information about the situation outside.
  • Anvis ended the game with Landon and announced that he and Fiona would leave the Spark Organization’s secret base because his family had discovered problems.
  • Anvis planned to use Fiona’s impending breakthrough to draw the injured Star Gazer out of secluded recovery.
