Although everyone was surprised that this year's Wizard Card Competition had been brought forward, no fewer students came to watch it.
The Anti-Toad Alliance had announced that a large gathering targeting Umbridge would be held here.
Naturally, word reached Umbridge. After learning from the Slytherin students what the Wizard Card Competition was about, she considered it carefully and decided to send several Slytherin students to investigate first, lest she come into unnecessary conflict with Anderson.
Yet it was merely an ordinary Wizard Card Competition.
The only surprising thing was that Albert had chosen Mad Girl Luna Lovegood as the Wizard Card Club's designated successor.
Everyone suddenly realized that Albert was about to graduate, which was a sad prospect for most Hogwarts students.
"I know you must all be wondering why the club is holding the Wizard Card Competition early."
Albert looked over the students below and said calmly, "This year is a special one. I have a feeling that the Wizard Card Club may need to suspend activities for a while."
This was undoubtedly bad news, and people began whispering among themselves.
"Why?" Someone even loudly asked Albert for the reason.
"I don't think it's hard for anyone to guess why. After all, with so many of us gathered together, someone is bound to be unhappy." Albert raised a hand to quiet the crowd. "Don't worry. The Wizard Card Club won't disband because of this. It will continue next year."
"Let the toad eat shit!"
No one knew who shouted it, but it struck a chord with everyone. Why should Umbridge interfere even when they were simply taking part in a club?
"I know what you mean, but don't complain. It hasn't been easy for her either. She's brought us so much joy this month."
