A Whole Lot Going On
By the end of class, everyone was covered in mud, looking exhausted, as if they had just done hard labor. After they returned to the castle, took a shower, changed into their robes, and rushed off to their Transfiguration Class, the Gryffindor students were all late because of the tight schedule.
Professor McGonagall's expression was not good. After hearing the explanation, her expression improved, but she still deducted five points from the Gryffindor student.
In the Transfiguration Class, Professor McGonagall had everyone review the important points from the previous semester, and they needed to transform a beetle into a button.
Compared to the final exam last semester where you had to turn a mouse into an ashtray, this wasn't actually that difficult. However, most students couldn't do it. Perhaps, after the summer vacation, that knowledge went with them and hasn't returned to their minds yet.
Lee Jordan's beetle was running all over the table when it accidentally fell to the ground and was stepped on by Albert. So he had to ask for another one, Professor McGonagall was not happy about.
Albert once again became the most relaxed student on the Transfiguration Spell, easily turning the beetle into an exquisite silver coin, for which Professor McGonagall even gave him an extra five points.
"I don't want you to forget everything you learned last semester right after summer vacation." Professor McGonagall stared sternly at Fred and warned, "Mr. Weasley, if you continue to torment that poor beetle, I'll put you in solitary confinement."
"Professor, we cannot use magic during summer vacation."
"I didn't expect you to offer any better insights, Miss Ford." Before Professor McGonagall's stern gaze could sweep over her, the poor Gryffindor girl had already hunched her shoulders. "I hope you will take some time to review so that you don't fall behind in the upcoming lessons."
"You should know that Transfiguration is very difficult. If you want to achieve good results in this area, you'd better put in a lot of effort."
"Understood," everyone said in unison.
As for how much they actually knew, that remains unknown.
Before class ended, Professor McGonagall stopped Albert and told him there was a Transfiguration Club party that evening.
As Albert expected, Katrina McDougal was also invited to the Transfiguration Club. She was one of the few students in her class who had a talent for Transfiguration.
"If you don't know the exact location of Classroom 21, you can ask Mr. Anderson," Professor McGonagall told Katrina.
"Congratulations," Albert said to Katrina after Professor McGonagall left.
"As expected, isn't it?" Katrina raised her chin and asked, "I'm ready. When are you free to continue our bet from last semester?"
"Don't you need to prepare it some more?"
"You haven't forgotten, have you? Or are you trying to... cheat?" Katrina scrutinized Albert, trying to determine if Albert was playing a trick on her.
"Oh, of course not. It's just that I've been a bit busy lately. How about we do it over the weekend?" Albert said after a brief consideration. "I need to prepare a bit; ten questions are a little difficult for me."
"Do you think I'd believe that?" Katrina said in a strange tone. "The rumor is that Albert Anderson is a fraud, that five out of ten things he says are false, three are nonsense, and two are true."
"Who said that?" Albert said, dissatisfied. "I'm clearly an honest person, yet someone would call me a liar."
"Who knows?" Katrina steered the conversation back to Albert, saying, "Remember to prepare ten Galleon. Don't come back saying you don't have Galleon."
"Don't worry, I'm definitely richer than you," Albert said with a smile. "By the way, do you know where the Transfiguration Club meets?"
"Know."
"Do you know the conventions of the Transfiguration Club?" Albert asked again.
"What kind of custom?"
"Use the Transfiguration Spell to conjure a chair for yourself," Albert kindly reminded him. "If you have time, remember to practice it. Otherwise, you'll become a laughing stock if you can't conjure a chair."
"It's simple." Katrina raised an eyebrow, clearly not quite sure about the matter.
"That's all for now. If you don't understand, you can ask Isobel. She's also a member of the Transfiguration Club." Albert finished speaking and prepared to leave.
"Of course I know, Isobel is a member of the Charms Club," Katrina asked, puzzled. "Speaking of which, why didn't Professor Flitwick invite you to join his Charms Club?"
"Not at the moment."
"That's strange," Katrina muttered. Actually, Katrina had already received an invitation from Professor Flitwick.
In some ways, Katrina is also a genius, but she is just a weaker version of Isobel. This unfortunate younger sister still cannot escape the brilliance of her genius older sister.
"Perhaps..." Albert suddenly said, "...we haven't taken Charms Class yet."
"You... Hmph, of course I know." Katrina snorted in dissatisfaction and turned to leave.
Watching Katrina's departing figure, Albert shook his head and quickened his pace to meet up with his roommates in the Great Hall for lunch.
When Albert entered the Great Hall, Fred and George were discussing something, while Lee Jordan handed him a piece of parchment.
"For me?" Albert reached out and took the note Lee Jordan handed him, asking in confusion, "Who gave it to me?"
"The other party said it was Dumbledore." Lee Jordan was also curious about why the headmaster gave Albert the note.
"Principal?" Albert opened the note and glanced at its contents.
Dear Albert:
I would like to invite you to have some tea in the Headmaster's Office at 7 p. m. tonight.
Your faithful Albus Dumbledore
Also: I like Honey Wine.
"What does Dumbledore want with you?" Fred asked, puzzled.
"Have some tea." Albert handed the note to Fred.
"Tea?" The three of them looked over and were completely bewildered, wondering why the principal wanted to have tea with Albert. "Is that strange?" Albert asked back.
"It doesn't seem strange to you," George said.
Last semester, Professor Broad often invited Albert to his office for tea, chess, and conversation.
"But what's going on today? Why did everything happen all at once?" Albert could naturally guess why Dumbledore wanted to see him.
So, is Hertok Dagworth planning to get his Gold Card back from Dumbledore through him?
Albert found this very interesting; he didn't think Dumbledore would ask him to hand over his Gold Card.
At least, Albert's first impression of Dumbledore was not bad.
"What should we do about selecting Quidditch players?" Fred suddenly asked.
"I can only apologize to Charlie." Albert looked helpless and frustrated. "The Transfiguration Club is also having a gathering at this time. Why does everything have to happen at the same time?"
"You've had a tough time!" Lee Jordan looked at Albert with sympathy, and after seeing him get up, asked with puzzlement, "What are you going to do?"
"Have someone pass a message to Professor McGonagall," Albert said, walking toward the Ravenclaw table and sitting next to Katrina to tell her about it.
Katrina gave Albert a strange look and muttered, "You're such an unreliable guy."
"You're the first person to say I'm unreliable," Albert said, shrugging. "If you don't know where Classroom 21 is, I'll take you there after lunch."
"Okay!" Katrina really didn't know. When she said she knew, she actually meant that Isobel knew. However, she did not refuse Albert's offer to lead the way.
When Albert returned to the Gryffindor table, he saw Fred talking to Charlie about his business.
"Dumbledore wants to have tea with you?" Charlie asked, looking bewildered.
"I'm sorry, Charlie, I have just too many things to do." Albert said apologetically. "I might also Professor Flitwick's Charms Club, so I'm sorry about the Quidditch thing. Besides, I think you are the Seeker for Gryffindor."
Charlie paused for a moment, then forced a smile. He understood Albert's implication and sighed helplessly, "Okay, I understand. I'll keep the backup Seeker position for you."
After saying that, Charlie patted Albert on the shoulder and turned to walk away.
"I didn't expect you to refuse." Lee Jordan looked at Albert in surprise. "I think you'd be perfect for the Seeker position; you fly so well."
"There's nothing we can do about it," Albert said helplessly, spreading his hands. "Abusing privileges will damage team unity."
"What if the gatherings of the Charms Club and the Transfiguration Club overlap?" Fred asked curiously.
"We'll see." Albert was very interested in the Charms Club because he also liked magic that was "easy to use."
"That makes sense, since you haven't joined the Charms Club yet," George muttered. "By the way, Hogwarts actually has a club like that?"
"Yes," Albert nodded. "Actually, Hogwarts also has a Wizard Card Club."
"How come I didn't know?" Lee Jordan was stunned for a moment, unable to react for a moment.
"Idiot, it's just the four of us." Fred couldn't help but cover his face.
"I don't remember when I joined," Lee Jordan said.
"Don't you want to? Then forget it." Albert asked, feigning surprise.
"Who said I didn't want to? By the way, when did we start this club?" Lee Jordan muttered.
"Just now."
"Just?"
"That's right, just now." Fred had a look on his face that said, "You didn't know that?"
"Just now." George nodded in agreement. "What classes do we have this afternoon?" Lee Jordan quickly changed the subject.
"Dark Arts Defense," George said immediately. "Don't change the subject."
"There's also a History of Magic," Fred added. "Hopefully the new professor will be as interesting as Professor Broad from last semester."
"I remember it was a fight with Boggart?" Lee Jordan continued.
"Fight? Don't you think that word is inappropriate?" Albert shook his head. "At most, it will teach us how to drive away the Boggart, rather than scaring them away or making them faint."
"You surely know how to deal with Boggart, right?" George suddenly said.
"I know, it's written in the book," Albert said honestly. "The spell is Riddikulus."
"Tell me, did you eat the entire book 'Dark Powers: 《Self-Defense Guide》 '?"
"You actually found out." Albert looked at George with feigned surprise.
"Add some sauce, right?" Lee Jordan said with an "I knew it" look.
"Don't steal my lines," Albert complained.
Upon hearing this, the group couldn't help but laugh.
